Irina's might strike you on first glance as a small Oceanside dive bar. I'm guessing at one time it probably was. But take a look into the beer fridge and the taps and you realize this is a place to get good beer in a friendly spot. Then look up and see the German food items they offer, fresh from the kitchen. Jackpot! Irina's is a family business with Austrian, German, and even Swiss influence. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but they can get busy. Featuring some of the best pea soup to be had, an excellent schnitzel, currywurst, and great burgers. And great sides. Don't miss their crispy fries, especially good with the curry sauce.It may take a moment to find, they are across from the old drive in, but it is worth it!

Quiet little location tucked away in a spot that makes you feel like you are in a garden. Plenty of seating, a fire pit, umbrellas, adirondack chairs. Bring your food, grab a beer and relax. There is a store where you can buy shirts and get your growler filled.

We didn't plan to visit for quiz night. We just went for dinner. I had the short rib and Breakwater IPA (actually two). The beef was fork-tender and succulent. The IPA was quite light and very hoppy. I liked it. Our other meal was the hamburger and fries. The Wagyu beef was cooked medium so was pink in the center; just right and delicious.As with most trivia questions you either know the answer easily or you're struggling to make even a guess. We got about half the questions which was about average for the room. It was a fun evening. Good value.

We stopped here for lunch and it was very good. They had several beers to choose from, the Walkabout Stout was very good. We ordered a pizza and it was very good. The crust they use is fantastic. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We always enjoy Urge because of its eclectic menu and AMAZING Butterscotch Bread Pudding! We were really looking forward to enjoying it, when our waitress told us they were out of it! REALLY? On a Saturday at lunch??? I could understand a late evening shortage, but they had just opened! Also, we wanted a Cold Brew Coffee, which they were also out of! Crazy! Anyway, the Chicken Schnitzel with red cabbage and mashed potatoes was delicious, plus our side order of General Pho's cauliflower was great.

We enjoyed having dinner here. The menu offers a variety of pasta dishes and really enjoyed our meal. The service was very friendly and quick to serve at all levels, from seating, refilling drinks and serving food. We enjoyed the pesto tortellini and fettuccine. Side salads and bread are a great start to the meal. Enjoyed wine with our meal and appreciated the selection. Ambience is homey but it was quite warm inside making it uncomfortable to enjoy the meal after awhile.

Had never been to a pub like this before. Loved the self service concept. Great environment and exceptional selection. Ordered pretzel bites with beer cheese to go with our drinks and they were delicious. Would love to go back or find one close to home. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

4 of us stopped by for lunch before hitting the beach. First time there. Overall very good from the atmosphere, to the service to the food. Between us had 5 beersd each about $6-6.50 each and for food baja tacos, wings,corn dogs, Asian chopped salad and the poutine. Ranged from ok/good (the corn dogs) to excellent (wings and poutine). Nice setting and attentive and friendly service. A tad pricy perhaps eg Poutine $15.50, Corn Dogs and Tacos $14.50

I ate today at the Local Tap House and it was unbelievable!!! The food and the service were top-notch!!! The inside ambiance is really cool and there also is an out-door patio area. My server, Jessica S., was simply outstanding!!!! Very attentive to my culinary needs and had a wealth of descriptors ready to describe my probable choices!!! Jessica just added to the great experience I was having eating!! Her pleasant disposition and her eagerness and readiness to make sure my experience was great was the BEST!!!!!!! Thanks Jessica!!!!..... I ordered the Kung Pow Cauliflower and the Tuna Crudo Ceviche and both were some of the best dishes I have tasted in the past 11.4 years!!!! They were that tasty and good!!!!! As my readers know, I recently ate at Gaggan in Bangkok, the highest rated restaurant in all of Asia!!!! The food here at LTH was just as good, or better, than Gaggans!!! I am back in Oceanside in January to work again and I will eat hereâ¦â¦.and I will ask Jessica to be my server again!!!!! Simply putâ¦..the food and Jessica were the BEST!!!!! Thanks to the bartender also who served my wines in gargantuan glasses!!!!!! I loved it!!!!!!!!!!
