I moved to the East Coast a couple of years ago and returned to Southern California recently. I've been craving this place for a long time not only because of its diverse and fantastic, authentic south of the border menu but more importantly the best chicken and rice soup you will ever have!
I was referred to this place by some family from the area. I decided to get some grub to-go. It was at night and there were only 2 people dining-in. That's probably because the inside ambiance isn't much to enjoy. The customer service okay and friendly; they were patient in answering my inquiries to menu descriptions. The prices for the tacos were a tad but higher than most "fast-food" joints, but I figured that's because the food quality was better and it was. I ended up ordering a dozen tacos, with half being beef and the other chicken.I also ordered the 7 mares stew; which wasn't half bad, but I've had better from a Cuban spot. It was lacking substance and it was mostly broth. In addition, I ordered pollo asada fries; and these were excellent! All in all, it's a good Mexican spot in the area and worth a shot.

Authentic Mexican Food and some of the best I have tasted in the states. Located on Highway 76 and when you enter the salsa bar is on the right. Simple seating and the service was wonderful.Prices are quite reasonable compared the "OC." This location is great for families or singles. And it's located close to a mini mart. Do make the trip---up highway 76 to da Observatory for star viewing. Thanks Jilbertos for the great service and delicious water with Lemon. There is something magical in "Palomar Water." Do try rolled tacos, salads and rellenos. And up the mountain is Mother's, try it. The adventure continues up high.

Escondido has many kitchens located in the back of small grocery store butcher sections and they are excellent for tacos and burros to go. If you don't want a grocery experience and want to sit down to the authentic flavors and variety, go to TJ tacos for a fast and flavorful taco or two or three.

This was a nice place with good food. The margaritas were ok but we have had better. Tasted like a pre-mix. The steak fajitas were more beef taste than asada taste which was disappointing. My wifeâs shrimp fajitas were very good. Both were ample portionions. We will go back to try some other entrees. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, which is always a plus.

When we want to have Carne Asada or Pollo Asada, we go ONLY to Kennedy's! Both the Carne and the Pollo are nicely marinated and fresh! We let it sit in the refrigerator at least overnight to continue to marinate and then hit the BBQ the next day! Yum!and....they do a great job of catering food for large gatherings!and.. if you are immediately hungry, order a burrito at the take-out counter.

Ritaâs is both a sit down restaurant and a food truck limited menu place inside Harrahs near the pool. We had their nachos for lunch. Serving was big, cost with meat topping $13 and service was very fast. On past trips we have ordered other items and always found them to be very good

Very sweet server and pretty good Skinny margaritas, however the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Canned. Not fresh. My Chile Relleno tasted so fried. The sauce had zero love. Again, the server was sweet but as I write we've been waiting for the bill for a while.... since we didn't finish our food.

One of my all time favorite eateries in the North San Diego County area. Cenote Grill has a wonderful menu a fusion of healthy Mexican and Asian options. The atmosphere is quaint and welcoming, service always with a smile and food is delicious and different. Everything Ives tried has bee top drawer. From Soup, to salad, fish tacos to whatever entree speaks to your tastes. They offer brown rice as well as white, and other healthier options. You will be happy you came. Warning. It gets busy weekend evenings. Great fare. Canât recommend highly enough.
