We were in the mood for a good Mexican meal and we were not disappointed! Large servings and delicious food.......inexpensive, tasty wine...........friendly staff.....what more can you ask for? Obviously a local favorite, the medium sized restaurant had a steady stream of happy diners in and out the entire time. Delish!

We were looking for an informal place to eat on our first night in Atascadero. The hotel recommended this restaurant. The chips and salsa were good. I had fish, which was tasty. The other three people had more traditional Mexican dishes and said they were good. There was a good selection of drinks, including beer and margaritas. It is within walking distance of the Carlton Hotel, where we were staying. It is a good choice in Atascadero.

I ate here with my family in July 2018. We had a nice reasonably priced Mexican meal. Several drink selections to chose from and many menu items. The restaurant is more of a store front, but there is outdoor seating and the staff are very friendly. Portions were ample. Lots of locals seemed to eat here which to me is a good sign. Location is nice as well - across form a park to walk off your meal. We will be back.

It's just a simple, no frills, excellent food restaurant. If you require fine dining with linen table cloths, this isn't the place for you. If all you care about is cleanliness and good Mexican food, you'll love this restaurant. It's a little bit self serve but mostly quick and efficient table service by the owner. The food servings are more than generous and I'm a big eater. My wife had the pork tacos and really enjoyed the flavor. She added the pico from the self serve salsa bar and found it very fresh with a nice zing. I had the fajitas and they were wonderful and a huge portion. It's too bad we're traveling or we'd love to try some of the other selections on our next visit.

We wanted a quick breakfast and decided to check out Los Robles Cafe since it was close to our hotel. The place is small with limited seating. We were not greeted when we arrived and we proceeded to look around for a table or waitress. We eventually were told to sit anywhere we could find a table. We were able to find a seat in the back portion of the restaurant. We patiently waited and waited while we observed 2 waitresses staring at us but did not approach our table nor bring menus. Finally an employee got the courage to approach us to tell us we had to move because this table was âreserved.â Fortunately by this time one table opened up and we were led to sit at a dirty table. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito and beverages. The food was fair but the green salsa gave me and the burrito life. No one ever checked on us nor brought the check. So if this is how you like to be treated when you dine out, check out this place for mediocre food.

We were just stopping by on our drive to LA. The fish taco's were very good and being I practically order the fish taco's anywhere I go, if available, that says something. The fish was not fishy, was breaded and crispy and the shells over flowed with toppings. The sauce was a good fit. The taco's were served with beans and rice. The portions were very filling and the price was decent. Service was friendly and fast. I really have no complaints. Thank you Taco Roco!

Not a likely choice for "best of" before we left for a 2 week swing through coastal California, but in hindsight, Fish Gaucho earns our vote but best restaurant. Great selection of Tequila based cocktails and very sophisticated taste combinations on menu. Server was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Bravo!

When on holiday I don't eat I the same place twice - going to make an exception with this one and go again tomorrow. Best homemade salsa ever, they make it with fresh ground green jalapeños! Whoa fantastic! Main courses delivered bang on, will be posilt for choice tomorrow night but will keep you posted!

Breakfast and lunch are super. They have a unique flavor to their foods that makes them standout from other Mexican establishments. Been there many times and have never been disappointed.
