Tantalize your taste buds at Koto inside Red Hawk Casino. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and house favorites that are sure to please. Koto is the place to be.
The restaurant has a nice open feeling thanks to the big windows on one side. Our waiter was top notch and very attentive. The prices across the menu are pretty reasonable, about what you'd pay at an Applebee's or similar place. There were four of us, each ordering a different entrée, which we sort of shared with each other. What I found was that some was excellent and some was a little dry. The ribs were OK, tasty but a little tough. The salmon was a little dry for me. The burger was excellent. And, the appetizers (potato skins and fried calamari) were both very good. I cannot remember the fourth entrée, but it was also very good. So, to get my drift, the food is a little hit and miss. But, nothing was bad. I would go back here.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Prompt service. Atmosphere is pleasant. I ordered the shredded beef taco salad which was fresh and wholesome. My sister ordered the fajita salad with beef and chicken. My husband ordered the beef taco. Our only complaint was with the beef. It was very salty. Otherwise our meals were pretty good.
I got mad at them once because they went from not serving breakfast all day. to serving it all day, and then back to not. Thankfully, they are now back to serving breakfast all day. I love the #5 breakfast burrito. I get an order of fries, put some on my burrito, and eat the rest. The salsa bar has cilantro and onion, chipotle salsa, mild salsa, hot salsa, green salsa, and jalepenos. I also like their tacos and the taco salad.

Nothing special about the restaurant itself, but the food is great. Other than the specials, prices tend a little high.

I won't go back. If you ask for something you get in other Mexican restaurants, they look at you like you're crazy.. I didn't like the food. They don't have any good salsa. There are too many other good Mexican places in this town to ever go here again.

Re-imagination of the historic Tortilla Flats restaurant in Placerville, California. Now serving an authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex menu rich with all-natural free-range meats and local produce. Festive atmosphere with craft cocktails, beer and wine.
Passing through and my friend (local) suggested this place. I loved it. The burrito and tacos were great. Everything was fresh. The carne asada was caramelized and had a great flavor. The spices and salsa were a bit spicy, but I like spicy food. We had a great waiter. He made great recommendations on the drinks. It was a good evening.

The Tijuana Taqueria opened about 15 years ago as a small kitchen with a couple of tables against the wall outside. Miguel and his family worked hard to serve consistently wonderful, reasonably priced Mexican food. The tiny kitchen grew into a restaurant with a salsa bar and real tables inside. When the space next to the restaurant opened up, the restaurant expanded to two dining rooms and added an outside deck area. Miguel, a truly charming host, is still there serving the same great food. Do yourself a favor and either pick up a "to go" order or stay and enjoy the low key, casual atmosphere. A few of our favorites are the Carnitas by the pound, the shrimp cocktail (Cocktail de Camaron), and the Carne Asada Chimichanga. They also have a great assortment of Nacho offerings. Truthfully, everything we've ever ordered has been top notch.

I live in Placerville and eat here frequently. The last time I looked it had over a dozen five star recommendations on Tripadvisor that seem to have disappeared. The food is terrific (I like the seafood burrito). The salsa is wonderful. The service is alm
We love this place and eat here at least once a month. The recipes are authenticity Mexican, and the servings are large. You always get a friendly greeting when you come in, and attentive service. Iâve never been disappointed in anything Iâve ordered. The enchiladas are our go to for lunch, but the chili verde, chili Colorado, and rellano are all great. There are several good Mexican restaurants in Placerville, but this is our favorite.

I was very happy when a new restaurant came to town. I actually heard about it from Latin Families that said it was good. My family eats here or takes out more often than I would like to admit.

Perhaps it was our mistake to visit here, for our first visit, on Father's Day.... our bad,.... food was fine, atmosphere fine, drinks and food when they arrived were fine,.... frankly, we enjoyed counting the tables that came and went, while we still sat.... only explanation was the other tables must've ordered a couple tacos and we ordered dinners... whatever, I do think it was a serious off-night for us and hope that's not their norm...
