I am not the usual Taco Bell customer, but after seeing their ad for Breakfast Crunchwraps on TV, had to give them a try. Not only is the wrap delicious, but the employees of this Taco Bell is OUTSTANDING! They are helpful, polite and well trained to make sure their customer is more than satisfied. They even provide Seniors with a complimentary drink (coffee and such) when you pick up your order.
Unbelievably good value, with big portions and really tasty food. The chef/servers are incredibly nice, and it's a perfect little stopover near the highway (and close to a gas station) if you happen to be on a road trip, the way we were. Can't remember the last time we had a huge lunch (for two people but that could've easily fed three), for under $13. Thanks, El Palmar!
When I visited Del Taco locations in prior years, their menus were much simpler - tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. Now the menu is much more complicated with so many selections. The nice thing is the menu board is now partitioned - breakfast, value items, combos, other

Decided to give Trevino's a try for dinner. Nice, big place across from the movie theaters in downtown Merced. Were seated promptly. Place was pretty empty for a Friday evening. Couple of the girls serving looked like young kids. Food was OK; nothing made me go wow! Service was very slow even though the place was not too busy. It also too a while for the food to come out. There are much better Mexican options in town. Dont plan on going back.

We had never tried Fiesta Mexicana although it has been in Merced for a few years. Upon entering one feels the cool air and notices the nicely set tables and booths. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. We especially like the selections on the senior menu and found the servings there to be quiet large and the prices much less that ordering the same items from the regular menu. We have found a new favorite Mexican restaurant.

I truly miss this place! The environment is small ....a little whole in the wall to find, but please do....you wont regret it! They serve great meals, margaritas, and the service is always wonderful. The grilled shrimp is the best! Usually crowded during regular lunch hours and dinner.

Maries offers very delicious traditional Mexican food in a rambling historic building that has a dinner feel in the front and more traditional restaurant feel in the back. Food and salsa were excellent and staff was attentive. A very good choice.
