I had always felt that Baja Fresh was a little pricey, but I had a coupon, so why not, right? Much to my surprise, the portions were generous, fresh, and tasty. They didn't skimp on the meat or the guacamole, which would have been expected for the price. And unlike a certain Mexican chicken chain, they give you enough tortillas. Don't go there expecting authentic Mexican cuisine, it's more like "Cal-Mex" and to their credit, they do it right.
This is a gem of a little market. It's a hispanic market full of the locals. The guacamole is the best and great price. They make amazing burritos and their tortillas are made fresh right there! Any time we're having a get together, I go there for the dips and chips! Yum!

We have been to this restaurant twice for lunch during the weekdays. We love that it seems to be family run and the people there are super nice and friendly. The chips are served warm and are thicker than chips you get at other restaurants or markets, but they are not hard. You can bite right into them. The salsa they serve with them are home made - so fresh and you can see and taste the cilantro. Their portions are very generous. My husband had the ranchero enchilada plate and I had the machaca burrito plate. The first time I had the taco plate. We had came back for the good food and service.Okay, I have to be honest here: my burrito was really, really salty. I guess I should have told them, but I felt bad to do so because I really like the people there so much. I ate only a small portion of it because I ate it with my rice and beans which helped to make it taste less salty. I took the leftovers home and tasted it again the next day. Yup, it was really too salty to eat. I chopped up the carnitas and added them to my homemade soup and it worked out well. I do plan on going back here, but I will be honest with them about how salty the machaca burrito was and will order something else. If that turns out to be too salty, I will have to bring it to their attention. Located in a small shopping strip mall with free parking lot. Near Sonic Burgers and next to a Montessori school.

Over the top fantastic! We have foster children age 2 & 4 and are trying to teach them how to behave in a restaurant. The staff is wonderful and the lunch menu is fantastic, $8-$10For a great plate of food. The server was able to split a plate of food for the boys which was still a lot of attentions food - the endless chips and salsa were perfect.

Being new to living in Mission Viejo, we need to establish our "go to" places for a familiar, consistently good, reasonably priced restaurants. Casa Franco will be our "go to" Mexican food place, for sure!! We went on a Sunday afternoon around 2:00 for a late lunch. While there were other customers there, it was not packed and we could select our own table. If you're looking for a high-brow, luxury restaurant, don't go. If you're looking for a family owned, non-chain restaurant with good food at reasonable prices...GO!! Our server was Diaz; we explained that we had never been here and did he have any suggestions. He said that everything was good AND all homemade, but then he still made a few suggestions on what was most popular with customers. One suggestion was the Chicken Green Chili burrito, which my husband selected. Good choice!! It was plenty stocked with delicious, tender chicken and the green chili sauce was delicious!! I opted for a two choice combination plate, selecting a chili relleno and crispy beef taco. Both were really good! The chunky beef in the (big!) taco was well seasoned and tender. The chili relleno was cooked perfectly, well sized and delicious. I think the next time if I order a combination plate I'll either only select one option or order the items I most want a la carte because it was too much food for me. We spent about $35 on food and beverages, which seemed reasonable for the amount of food we got. They have a full bar with featured margaritas and other adult beverages. We didn't have any drinks, just soda and iced tea. Oh, and your server will bring you a nicely sized basket of fresh chips, the light, crispy type with a delicious and "just right" salsa. Not too hot, not to weak. Really loved this place! RECOMMEND!

We enoyed the friendly atmosphere at this no frills Mexican restaurant. It's very centrally located on El Toro Road. They provide a good meal for a reasonable price. The staff coordinate with each other like a family. The enchiladas and chimichanga were delicious. We especially enjoyed the flan swimming in Kaluha and jamaica beverage. We feel the low price makes this restaurant excellent.

Really good Mexican food and the decor made the experience fun. Guacamole was perfect. Wait staff made sure we had a constant flow of chips and salsa. Carnitas was seasoned well and their combo plates had a variety to pick from. I recommend their Tortilla Soup.

My co-workers had the pleasure of dining at Avila's El Ranchito. We often visit this restaurant for our celebratory luncheons. The food is okay - not wonderful. Service was great. Prices are reasonable. If you are in the area and are craving Mexican food, then I would suggest a visit to Avila's El Ranchito.
