The birria here is delicious. They have beef and goat. An assortment of condiments and thick warm tortillas are served with the dish. Service is friendly and efficient. My only reservation was that the meat was not very well cleaned. I had to remove tendons and unsightly skin from my dish.
This place is located 3825 E. Gage Ave, Bell, Ca 90201 NOT BELL GARDENS. I was introduce here by my son's grandfather when my son came home and raved how good the ceviche was. So I checked it out and now this is my to go place for the fish ceviche. One container can feed up to two people for $6.25 and that includes lemon wedges, freshly fried corn tortillas, and hot sauce. Once you get the container you will be surprised how much you get because it's all fish with little cilantro and no onions. Most places has fillers and little fish but not here. I usually order it to go and add more cilantro, lemon juice, onion and ketchup at home. The place is a small gem in Bell and it's next to a boxing gym but it's worth finding. The place is clean but I have not ventured into the bathroom. They only accept CASH but they do have an ATM. The menu is written in Spanish but the workers all speak English well and they are very nice. Not once have they been rude. I haven't tried the fish tacos but it looked so good and I believe they only serve on Fridays. Plus you can order by phone for pick up. Please try this place out and you will be happy that you did too. Oh, I forgot to mention the fish are not in tiny pieces they are in chunks!
Wow , this place just keeps getting better , we ordered the Carne en su Juego a weekend only specialty and it was delicious, the broth and meat and beans were seasoned just right and the fresh home made corn tortillas were excellent as well , I will be headed here again very soon it is always excellent .
If you like grilled chicken then Pollo Loco (Crazy Chicken) is the place to fill up with good food. Comes with rice and beans and various sauces, some hot so watch out. Savory chicken which hits the spot. Good. ...

Admittedly the food is pretty decent. But you need to weigh the quality of the food against the awful service and questionable business tactics of this place. I am of the opinion that servers are surly & difficult and their service is exceedingly slow, even when the queue is short. I am also of the opinion that I have been overcharged on multiple occasions... by different cashiers... so make of that what you will. Don't spend your money here, instead spend it at another Mexican restaurant where they treat their customers with respect.
This is a place where they have a great latin atmosphere. Apart from the exquisite food, on any other night they have different shows such as a live band, comedians, dancers, even strippers! It is a great place to hang out with your friends or family.

my wife and i went to eat here late at night. the parking was a little difficult along with ordering your food. it was a little complicated if it is your first time there. when you go, you will understand. they have security inside and outside. the quality of food is great but i would like to go again when they are not busy so i can study the menu better.

Please don't be discouraged for the location. They have valet parking at weekends and the BEST Best Chile en Nogada!! Remember the famous movie called "Como Agua para Chocolate" where they have Chile en Nogada, well here you find them at its best setting! Too bad that I couldn't get the recipe!!! As a Mexican American I know what is really a good Mexican food and here Ramiro and Jaime really know what they are doing! Couple years ago I visit for the first time with friends and they were very pleased with the food and service. Love to hear that they don't serve burritos and tacos which is most of the non-Latinos know about the Mexican cuisine. The only thing that I don't like is that they extended the restaurant area and a crafts store was added. I am not against our Mexican traditions but when I want to eat I don't want to be distract by the anything else. Love the wall with the pottery pieces and during my last visited I inquired about a painting that was on display but too bad it was out of my reach. I have stopped multiple times to get Enchiladas al Mole which are delicious too! Once I saw a television anchorman there and this is a place to find a well diverse clientele. The Chefs are very charming and once I saw one that waved at me from another table. they serve Cetto Wines which are from Baja. Very acceptable. Try el café de Oya with a cinnamon touch. Delicious.. I am hungry now.. Enjoy Amigos !

Let me start by saying the staff is the best. They are on you from the entry of the doorway. The restaurant has allot of decor to make you feel your in Mexico. The food was amazing the taste of the meat and the service was the best ived had in town. Will be going back more often now Dear Miguel, this is Margarita Avila whose family has owned this restaurant for over 50 years. Thank you for your affirming review. We appreciate when our customer notice our effort. We still have cooks that my mother personally trained. Please introduce yourself on your next visit, it would be a pleasure to meet you.
