Although the beer was cold and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food left a lot to be desired. The shrimp tacos were just okay. I wonât be ordering them again. The Salisbury steak was average and probably not something youâd order from a Mexican restaurant but it looked safe.

Fresh food, very reasonable prices and friendly service - we've enjoyed the very fresh (and generous portioned) guacamole, the fajitas, and fish tacos, but the carne asada burrito is just the most delicious thing! Chips and salsa are also excellent! We also like to eat on the patio with our small dog.

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
The fact that On the Border is a mexican restaurant is an understatement! We went for Happy Hour yesterday to grab some drinks and appetizers. My lady had a mango margarita and I had 2 regular margaritas for $5 each. We also ordered up a couple of their happy hour appetizers: 3 Stuffed Jalapeños and 3 Mini BBQ Pork Brisket Tacos. The jalapenos were delicious, not too spicy or hot The mini tacos were indeed mini, easily eaten in a couple bites. The whole experience came under $30 before the tip. Our servers did a great job, and the bar are was spotless! We shall return!

When we want to have Carne Asada or Pollo Asada, we go ONLY to Kennedy's! Both the Carne and the Pollo are nicely marinated and fresh! We let it sit in the refrigerator at least overnight to continue to marinate and then hit the BBQ the next day! Yum!and....they do a great job of catering food for large gatherings!and.. if you are immediately hungry, order a burrito at the take-out counter.

La Tapatia has been here for well over 25 years. Parking on each side of the building so no problem. Local Mexican food is good and authenic. On Grand in Escondido so easy to find. Staff is freindly and quick.

Escondido has many kitchens located in the back of small grocery store butcher sections and they are excellent for tacos and burros to go. If you don't want a grocery experience and want to sit down to the authentic flavors and variety, go to TJ tacos for a fast and flavorful taco or two or three.

For 30 years, we've been serving our customers the best Mexican food, zesty margaritas and ice cold cerveza. We feature a famous Sunday brunch served from 10-2 every Sunday with all of the family favorites. It is offered with unlimited champagne, omelet s
This restaurant has excellent Mexican good and wonderful service. Pricing is reasonable, not cheap. Complimentary chips and salsa are tasty and not too spicy. You can create your own lunchtime combo meal, and we were given a taste of ceviche and their refried beans to help us choose our meals.

Uniquely shaped building, two story dining, lots of art on the walls Frida style and pueblo. Friendly staff. Good food in large portions, and very good margaritas! I had the Albondigas soup, small. Excellent broth, tasty meatballs (3), rice and condiments. That alone with tortillas can make a meal. I also had the Chile Verde, and their verde sauce is very tasty with a good spice level. My wife had the Chile Relleno and Taquitos plate, which was enough for two. The rice and beans are excellent, some of the best from a restaurant I have had. The Carlitos Margarita was excellent for me, and my wife enjoyed the Tamgarita that they made with a lower sweet level!

I moved to the East Coast a couple of years ago and returned to Southern California recently. I've been craving this place for a long time not only because of its diverse and fantastic, authentic south of the border menu but more importantly the best chicken and rice soup you will ever have!

One of my all time favorite eateries in the North San Diego County area. Cenote Grill has a wonderful menu a fusion of healthy Mexican and Asian options. The atmosphere is quaint and welcoming, service always with a smile and food is delicious and different. Everything Ives tried has bee top drawer. From Soup, to salad, fish tacos to whatever entree speaks to your tastes. They offer brown rice as well as white, and other healthier options. You will be happy you came. Warning. It gets busy weekend evenings. Great fare. Canât recommend highly enough.
