Family owned dine-in mexican restaurant. Usual menu options. Good service and short wait time for food. The potato taquitos are my favorite!
Today we concluded our training and decided to have a potluck to close out the day. We decided unanimously on Sandra's & Lolita's which is our go to place for tamales to start the day, and what a great choice we made.We had the red chili (beef), red chili (pork) green chili (pork) and green chili (cheese) tamales and we're happy with our choices! The tamales were fresh out of the pot and really hot so we didn't even have to heat them when we got them to the office and let me add, we enjoyed every bite!A place you must try if you want delicious tamaleslike mom used to make!!!!

I came here with a friend to get supplies for a Mexican themed party. What a fun place! There are many vendors selling Mexican products including and not limited to: Clothing, natural healing, decorations, cooking equipment, herbs, salsas and sauces, butcher, fast food stands and gifts. The market is on two floors and has a Mariachi Restaurant on the third floor. They have free parking. I think that this is a good destination for tourists wanting a Mexican experience without going to Mexico. I can't wait to go back and get some fresh Mole' sauce.

I've seen some recent negative reviews, but my experience (at least) was very positive. We arrived (party of 6) and were promptly served. Staff was very friendly. I ordered the Tricolor Enmoladas (basically delish corn tortillas fully stuffed with chicken) and my choice of moles for each. I had a mole poblano (the traditional), a Oaxacan mole (darker/spicier than poblano) and another one (I forget the name) which was red and very spicy. They were all delicious and the portions were plentiful (couldn't finish) with rice on the side. My son had a mango mole dish wish he liked a lot and others with his had more typical Mexican dishes which they all enjoyed. Also, before the entrees came, we each were served a spinach crème soup ... very good! A very nice meal overall.

We actually picked up our order for a office function. I was greeted with a complimentary plate with pastries. The food was delicious they labeled all of our items. We had no complaints. My sister Yoli and Jeremy and Peter Romo and the Ela Sheriff's dept. also recommended this place. If you have been there stop by and give them a try.

Came here for lunch. This places sells mainly tortas but with a large selection of them. At 11am, this place was already busy. By the time I left 30 minutes later the line was 10 deep. Lunch time seems to be fairly busy. I tried both the carne asada and the chef daily special (chicken). Both sandwiches were light with good flavor. The bread itself is very good. At 11.99 each, which included a small side, these sandwiches are not cheap but worth it.

I'm gonna cut to the chase on this one. If all they served was the chili relleno burrito with asada, they'd be a hands-down five out of five. That was one of the best burritos I've ever had...I'm a happier man for having experienced that burrito. This experience would in no way hit the mark the way it did if they didn't make their own tortillas. I wish more places would appreciate the benefit of homemade tortillas...like La Azteca. That said, I also tried the chorizo burrito with beans, cheese, and potatoes (and chicken taco, asada burrito, chicken burrito, etc). Unfortunately, the chorizo burrito fell short. The potatoes were ultimately the big issue, although, pinto over refried beans would have been much preferred as well. The problem with the potatoes? They're seasoned potatoes...you know, with that crust on the outside. Normally I'm okay with that, but it had way too dominant a flavor in this burrito. Overall, I love that it's small. The people are extremely friendly, and the food was very good. In LA, would I travel from across town for the asada tacos or chicken burrito? No. But I'd travel from San Francisco for the chili relleno with asada burrito...in fact, I just did and it was totally worth it.

The original Guisados is in Boyle Heights (East Los Angeles) and a thriving community that Mexicans call home.Sometimes, simply is better, especially when you're dealing with basic items such as tacos. Guisados offers an excellent location. Clean, roomy and easy to find. Their taco presentation is more gourmet and perhaps that is their agreed strategy to charge a higher than normal price. They do a good job and really embrace the community. Also, they offer a wide variety of meats and filings as well as homemade tortillas. I will come back to support them. But, for my regular taco fix, I know tons of other spots which also specialize in fresh ingredients and they give you more bang for your buck. Sometimes, I just enjoy all of the grease (liquid) oozing from a good old fashioned carnitas taco which cost $2, maybe $2.50.

We found Tamayo on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Upon arriving to the restaurant, they had valet parking, but there was no charge for it, as they only do it for tips. Upon entering the restaurant, you will be impressed by the décor and feel of the restaurant. We were seated immediately and greeted promptly by our server. We weren't drinking this night, but had a great appetizer and dinner. All in my family enjoyed their selection, it was great authentic Mexican cuisine. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area to visit this fine establishment!!!
