I've been to many taquerias in San Francisco and elsewhere and while there are many similarities amongst them, there's something better about La Corneta and I always think that when I eat anywhere else, even when I order the same thing (veg burrito with whole wheat tortilla, whole beans, rice, green salsa, sometimes avocado).La Corneta is my favorite taqueria!

We enjoyed our visit to Gracias Madre in the Mission Area. It became famous as the first Mexican style vegan restaurant. We enjoyed lunch there in particular the entree which was Quesadilla with Cheese and Sweet Potatoes. That was truly delicious!! The place itself was neat and clean with an efficient bunch of waiters. Recommended for vegans and vegetarians touring San Francisco.

Cuisine inspired by Latin America, Spain and Argentina. Sustainable meats, seven different types of grass-fed, grain finished beef cuts ranging from short ribs to blood sausage cooked over a wood-fired grill. Ceviche and a handful of vegetarian offerings
First time at this restaurant. Food was really good and portions quite large, so best to go as a foursome to share, rather than a couple. Favorites were the Provoleta (a cheese fondue-like item with bacon marmalade and rustic bread) and the very flavorful chorizo sausage (unlike greasy Mexican or dry Spanish sausage). We also liked the Empanadas de Elote, the Vigoron (pork belly) and the Hueso Asado (bone marrow), but they weren't as special as the first 2 items. Service was outstanding. Cocktails good. The only reason I did not give this restaurant a 5 is the atmosphere. Seating is very close together and it is LOUD and very DARK. Needed a flashlight to read the menu. Because of these elements, not sure we would go back, though the menu does beckon.

We were looking for street tacos. You know like at the Taco Tren in the fields. This was not it. Yes, it was OK and the portions are generous. The service is really good. Just not what we were hoping for

Limon Rotisserie, best chicken in town, great Peruvian food, good value and good service.
This location is not exactly desirable and the table is small for our family.Aside from that, food is good, especially the rotisserie chicken which is very savory and delicious. The beef tongue and ceviche are good as well.Peruvian food is a new experience for us and we really enjoyed it.

There is nothing less than describing this place in one word: delicious!!!! Don't let any of the decor not neighborhood detract you from experiencing excellent, authentic food; fabulous margaritas; and top notch service with a smile. Wonderful place, can wait to go back!!

We made a same day reservation ( on a weekday) and I believe this helped our wait. The hostess was very personal and apologetic that we had to wait ( for only 15 minutes)and took drink orders. Just taking in the colorful, mesmerizing and somewhat bizarre decorations was really fun. We had 6 plates for 4 of us ( we were hungry)each delicious and with a unique set of flavors. We also enjoyed 2 desserts. The drinks were all made with a variety of organic and sometimes unusual ingredients but delicious. We were 2 60 yr olds and 2 30 somethings and all enjoyed the vibrant restaurant in the mission district where we were vacationing.

Not much to say. It is a restaurant that serves different kinds of tacos and burritos, and all other Mexican food. Not my favorite cuisine so obviously I am not delighted. However, food is cheap, fresh and tasty. I believe they prepare it according to authentic Mexican recipe instructions. It seems a lot of locals eat there (it is always a good sign). If you like Mexican food, you won't be disappointed. I was not at all.

Real Mexican eatery and store with all Mexican products you can imagine. Crowded, dark, with lack of interior design, looks like unfriendly space. But who cares? The food is awesome and authentic, portions are huge and cheap. I don't need nothing more. My Torta de Milanesa with breaded steak was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Mandatory place for Mexican food enthusiasts.

I was staying the other side of 101 and wanted something close after a long travel day. Melissa's is not a full service restaurant. You order at a counter. They have soda, water and beer in a cooler if you need a beverage. All dishes are ~$10. Seemed to be frequented by locals. Nice people and the food was good.
