Take your tastebuds on a journey to Japan at Torihei Yakitori Robata Dining, an authentic Japanese eatery in the heart of Torrance, CA. We offer an impressive selection of fresh and flavorful Izakaya, Oden, and Yakitori items, coupled with unbeatable serv
We arrived one hour before closing but everything was just perfect.Delicious food. Friendly service. Innovative food items, not very very Japanese, quite influenced from local flavors, but it was good. We had a missing item from the order and the waiter compensate us on giving it for free and even sending another item also complementary. We're thrilled you guys had a great time with us, Ruben! Glad you enjoyed our food and our service -- and that the server compensated you for the missing item. Come back and visit us again soon. Thanks,Masa H. & Taigo S., Owners

This restaurant has its ingredients flown in from Japan, specializing with Kyushu seafood and Kagoshima beef. The sashimi are super fresh and offers excellent quantity, the beef is also nicely priced with their wagyu offerings. Good service with a lively atmosphere. They also offer private dinning rooms which are great for parties.

A surprised finding. Strongly urged by friends to visit Hakata Ikkosha. We came as first customers on this Saturday morning. (Open at 11AM sharp) Welcomed by a classic Japanese greeting (or âyellingâ)! As first customers of the Morning, we could enjoy the âflavored eggsâ for free.Ramen could have light taste(less salty) or normal (salty as usual which I donât favor) and hard noodle texture (my favorite). These âchoicesâ are rarely available in other Ramen restaurants. I love the taste and aroma of Hakata Pork Bones Ramen with flavored hanjuku egg ($7.90). Additional dishes ordered included: Hakata mouthful gyoza (10 pieces for $6.00, each piece was very small, but tasty) and Fried Chicken (3 pieces for $7.00, proper). Their service was responsive and cordial. Its setting: clean, simple and decent. We enjoyed the lunch very much! Weâll be back for more.

A lot of selections but all about Uni!!! Very fresh and beautiful decorations of the dishes. The volume of Uni sashimi is very big for 2 people and you might get bored just eating it. I recommend to go there with 4 or more people and order all different kinds to have fun! It is a dream place for Uni lovers!!!

We went here with Family, our first Sushi Experience. Just loved the concept of food passing by on a conveyor belt. Alternatively, you can order from the electronic menu dishes you really want to try and hey-presto it comes direct to you via another conveyor belt.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall on Hawthorne Blvd and the outside is very tired, but don't let that discouraged you, the inside is clean and simple. Better make reservation because lots of Asians dine there. But for lunch they do not accept reservation. The set lunch or dinner are wonderful, a nice spread with plenty of food, including soup and salad. The tempura is the best of all the japanese restaurants in south Bay, very crispy and not oily because they have the tempura chef there frying at the bar. The service is pretty good, the price is not expansive or cheap, reasonable. We even lost a cell phone in the parking lot and one of the waiter found it up. They were so kind and considerate. Kudo for the food and the service!

This is a small, unassuming sushi bar tucked into a strip mall. Normally I'd steer away from these kind of places, but we went for lunch from work one day, and I was spotted by one of the Sushi Chef's who used to work at another sushi bar I used to frequent.Ask for Taka if you're sitting at the Sushi bar! The Uni here is ALWAYS good, if you like Uni you must try it here! However, ALL of there fish is always fresh and good.

We have eaten at many Benihana restaurants across the country and have always enjoyed our experiences. This Torrance restaurant did not disappoint... great again!BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommended eating establishment. Great tasting food and fun entertainment from the chiefs at your table. Kids always love this place.I had my favorite, the Benihana Special, steak and lobster. The steak cut of beef was not the highlight of the meal. Could have been more tender, but everything else was awesome! On behalf of the Benihana team, we are happy to have provided you with a 5-star experience!
