I was staying at the nearby La Quinta hotel (less than 2 blocks away), and wanted a convenient dinner at about 8 pm on a Thursday evening. This Panda Express still had a good number of entrees and sides available, even though it was probably a bit past the prime dinner hour. I find the food at Panda Express to be consistently good, although I always wish they had more "health"options - low fat, in particular.
I always make it a point to visit a Jimboys when I visit the Sacramento area. The tacos are excellent, and everything else is pretty good too. This particular location is a little run down; the roof was leaking during our visit, but the food was tasty none the less.
This is one of the Classic Weinerschnitzels. It has the old A frame style build where the drive through is cut out of the middle of it. They always do good at this location, never been upset with food quality or the customer service. Yes, it is just fast food, but at least they do it well!

Lou's is a landmark burger stop in North Highlands. A drive up greasy spoon with a good selection of burger and other choices including shakes etc. If you are tired of the chain store burger places, stop in, you will probably find a Highlands graduate there reliving the glory days..
First time I went to popeyes great place to eat they have some really good fried chicken, I usually get KFC as that's what we have in Canada but popeyes was great much better and they even have a really good menu

Chicken gyro was good. Price was right and flavor was nice. However, I was disappointed by the hummus triple sampler, $6 was steep for the amount of hummus you actually received. The baba ganoush was also a letdown and had somewhat of a sour dairy flavor to it.

This KFC/A&W used to have a lot of issues, but things seem to be improving every time I visit now. I love their pot pies, but I'd often get a "we're out of those" when I'd place an order. One time I went through the drive-thru, and it was over an hour until closing and they wouldn't make a pot pie for me. I'd understand if it was nearly closing, but they were open for another HOUR.I've been back a few times and have never had that issue since. I think they're under new management or have new owners, so I'm glad to see things improving! :)
We enjoy their various entrée selections such as General Tso chicken & orange chicken whenever we go. This time it seemed as though the dishes were rather greasy. They post the calories, but I question if they correctly factor in the serving size. The restaurants are very loud when kids are there.
