This was my first time here. I have known the chefs from another place for about 20 years though! These guys will make you time at the sushi bar entertaining! The rolls were tasty and the wait staff was attentive. The sushi is average, but I will go back! I had the Alaskan roll and the Spicy Halibut roll. Next time I think I'll try some of the Korean BBQ - it smelled amazing!

The only downside of his place is that it's in strip mall, but that's it. Pretty nice decor inside with commy booths and tables - good selection on the menu, along with bottled beer. The service was great and the food was delivered incredibly fast - generous main course meals for under $10 each. Very fresh and well presented, great spot for lunch or dinner, love it!

Fantastic fresh sushi. Service was amazing. Highly recommended. We had a party of 10 and we're seated immediately. The waitress was on point throughout our meal. After our meal the owner visited with our table and threw in a few extra beers no charge. Over all amazing meal

I really would have like to give this restaurant a higher rating. The family stopped by for dinner on 03/14, before attending a show across the street. I am really torn on this review...the food was good, service was great, BUT, and a HUGE BUT, our daughter who ordered the Chicken Chow mein, became ill about 8 hours after eating dinner here. Both my wife and I ordered the Treasure of the sea, and as stated, the daughter ordered Chicken Chow Mein. All 3 of us, had water, ate the soup and the rice. The only difference was the entree. The food was served very rapidly and sizzling hot. Service was just fantastic.I would rate this 4 or 5 star if our daughter had not gotten sick after eating here.

Great variety of reasonably priced sushi prepared by mostly Mexican sushi chefs. Lots of choices, both of rolls and nigiri. Large portions. Specials every night. Beer and wine served. Service seems to be slow even when the restaurant isn't especially busy. However, the place is almost always busy because of the popularity of the great food.

Well my husband and I have eaten here three times, and we've really wanted to like it, and think we've given it enough chances, but it's just very average. Last night we had Tom Yum Chicken Soup. It was okay, but had hard, seemingly inedible chunks of herbs. Hmmmm.I had Pad Thai Chicken. It had very little chicken and not many extra ingredients to jazz it up. No egg. No cilantro. Tiny amount of ground peanuts. Few sprouts. Just too plain. The one good thing we had was Saytay Chicken. There were six generous sized skewers of nicely grilled chicken. And a large side of very tasty peanut sauce. And, Chan Dara still doesn't have its liquor license, so no Thai beer to enjoy with your meal.

We were on vacation at Lawrence Welk and wanted to try a new Chinese place. Bamboo House fit the bill! We had one of the family dinners. It started with a complimentary bowl of crispy noodles served with a mustard and sweet sauce. The noodles were very crunchy and good. Then came the sizzling rice soup. It had a smoky flavor to it which was very different but very good. My husband wanted the hot and sour soup and he said it was good too. For appetizers, they brought fried shrimp, paper beef, BBQ spare rib and a stuffed fried wonton. The beef was tasty, the shrimp pretty normal, and the wonton had some curry in it - again different and very good. For the main meal we selected the si-chuan shrimp and the kung pao chicken. What I liked was that you can specify the spiciness so we had medium spice on the shrimp and spicy for the chicken. Both were very good! Fried rice came with it which was standard fare. We had wine with dinner - they had beer and wine but I didn't see a full bar. Over all, it was very good and the service was great! Always available to fill water, remove dirty dishes and they were attentive as to when to bring the next course. I would like to go back again if we're in the area!

Stopped by Panya Thai for an early dinner while passing through Escondido and were seated immediately. Panya is situated in a strip mall, not far off the I-15 freeway. It's not a large restaurant, but offers several -- albeit close together -- tables, a pleasant fast-casual feel with cloth tablecloths under glass. We shared a curry and ordered thai-ice teas. The service was adequate and the food was tasty. Free parking in the strip mall. If you found this review useful, please click the 'thank' button. Happy travels.

Wonderful, brightly colored interior and fabulous service by people who care. And the menu is enormous...even a separate Chinese food menu.We started by splitting an order of Fresh Rolls with shrimp...fresh, ample but tasteless, even dry. The peanut sauce was very good.My wife order Bun with pork. It was very good but the dressing was too sweet, not balanced.I had to order Banh Mi with pork. The home baked bread was crusty, chewy and very fresh and very good, great. The filling, however, was dry and bland. Pickled onions would have helped. We will be back.
