We went Saturday evening and they were very busy but we were still able to get a table after a few minute wait. Biggest issue was parking as the movie theater was very busy. Service was surprising good with them being so busy. Both dishes we had were great. Prices was very reasonable and portion size were good. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Will probably go mid-week to avoid the movie traffic.

This was my second time eating here but my first review.Service was perfect. Food was excellent. Value was good and leftovers were eaten before going to bed 4 hrs. later! This is a small restaurant with an outside eating area that is enclosed. As it was a cold evening, we ate inside in a booth for four. They offer green, yellow and red curry which some restaurants do not offer. My husband wanted the vegetables that come with yellow curry (potato, onion and carrot) but with the green curry sauce which he thought would be spicier. Our waitress said they would make the yellow curry spicier so he ordered that. It was VERY spicy. I ordered their medium spicy fried rice with no egg (I am vegan) and as an appetizer, fried tofu. I wound up cutting the cute triangles (lightly fried and tender) into thirds and added it to my rice and the sauce from the tofu and made myself a huge plate of a delicious dinner. Our friends ordered and shared the Pad Thai and the Orange Chicken which came in an amount that could have served four people. Very sweet and very crunchy, The appetizer plate was shared with me getting 2 of the 4 veggie rolls, and the others eating chicken satay, something with crab and one other item and the four sauces were stupendous. A sweet, a peanut, a chili and one other sauce were dipped, spooned and spread on both my veggie rolls and into my rice dish. I had my rice/tofu packed to go and finished it at 11:30 p.m. when getting home from the Write off Room next door. This restaurant closes early (9:15 p.m.) and due to its size, I would make a reservation as we did however, at 6:15 we saw other tables and booths open which filled quickly by 7:00 p.m. It is hard to see as it is in the far northwest inner corner of the shopping center on Ventura Blvd, and Topanga. Really delicious food.

Don't let the modest strip mall exterior fool you. The owners are amazing. The menu is vast. The food is outstanding. No generic over-salted grease here. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Eat in or take out - it's a hidden gem.

We had a large party for a family/ friends birthday celebration . Had 2 tables, and one was served way before ours. We got our vegetables after the meal, the show was very halfhearted, my chicken was tough, gluten free options were grudgingly delivered. The birthday girl did enjoy it. Felt it was overpriced

I am the pickiest sushi eater as I don't even like seafood much. Anything even remotely fishy doesn't work for me. And I love this place! Always fresh, always good. And while the service is excellent, it's small and always packed...which is another sign of how good it is.

My family LOVES this place so I finally gave it a try. The food was good, the price was right, but the service was awful and the place was a little dumpy. There were seven of us and the server brought out the food over such a long period of time, that the first person was done (we told her to dig in) before the last person got his food.I will give this place another try sometimes and update my review if this was just a one-time issue.

I LOVE this place! They welcomed me and my 2 dogs to a nice patio. Their sushi and meat noodle dishes are fantastic. They really give their all to make your dining experience a great one. Such friendly staff!!!

The sushi remains very good in freshness and flavor. I usually get the sashimi or sushi combo, and upgrade with the $1 spicy ahi. The sushi here is so much better than the near by highly overrated Sugarfish. You can order what you want, and eat it however you like. Service is friendly, and parking is always plentiful. However...don't try to show off your Japanese speaking...as they are Korean :)

We had dinner here and really, really enjoyed it. Make sure to have reservations since it is a popular spot for very good reason. The food is excellent, and the service even better. The place is very rustic, and was lucky to escape the recent fires that ravaged the area. They were literally less than 100 yards from where the road is closed. As our meal was winding down, a couple of musicians came in and performed a few tunes. That was a lot of fun as well.Prices are reasonable for the quality, and well worth it in my opinion. Would definitely return the next time we are in the area.

I'm conflicted. A great restaurant should have both delicious food and great service; sadly, Shibuya lacks one. I could rave on for hours about the food -- best sushi in Southern California, freshest fish around -- but other reviewers have already done it justice. Instead, I want to talk about my main grievance against Shibuya: the service. Based off my experience, Shibuya does not know how to treat their customers. To start off, Shibuya does not take reservations -- understandable -- but to secure a table, the process is horrendous. Essentially, they put a list on their door at 2:30 pm and Calabasasians flock far and wide to write their names down. Then at dinner time, in an almost lottery like manner, they begin calling off names, favoring the few who came earlier in the day. In my opinion this system takes the enjoyment out of dining, turning it into a mad competition. Furthermore, the service inside the restaurant is cold and near nonexistent. As there are always people waiting for a table, you are rushed, expected to eat within an hour. The servers take your order once, never to be seen again, and many of them didn't seem to take pride in their job. Multiple orders came out wrong, and we also received items that we did not order. Of course, what we received was amazing, so how we received it is where I took issue. To those of you willing to endure the wait and bad service, I give you a warning. The ambiance inside the restaurant, to some, may be bothersome as the space is small and old. Personally, I enjoy the hole-in-the-wall vibe but at times, constantly bumping into the table next me was testing.
