This place was recommended as the in seafood location in the area. We arrived on a weekday, around 1 pm. Valet parking in front of the location is available (off-street parking looked to be difficult). We were asked if we had a reservation which we didn't - the place was not busy when we arrived. There was an open kitchen were we could observe the meals being prepared. The menu had several interesting selections and our waiter explained them to us. The red clam chowder was very tasty. The entrees that we ordered were just OK. It seemed that the place was building itself up as the in-place, but having grown up on the East coast with many seafood options, I was a little disappointed. The bill was promtly presented and I felt that for what we had ordered, the pricing was a bit on the high side. Overall, we were satisfied but not overwhelmed.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here this morning. My husband got a spinach/mushroom/feta scramble with perfectly toasted bagel, butter, excellent berry jam (tasted homemade), and potatoes he didnât bother to eat. It was funny; the potatoes just didnât match the quality of everything else.I had shakshuka which I thought was very nicely done, baked with a wonderful large pepper that had a wonderful texture and was hot to the perfect degree for me. Bread basket cake with butter, that seemingly homemade berry jam, a really nice olive oil with pesto for dunking the warm rolls, and also tahini to contrast with the hot pepper. All of this was perfect. There were also sliced and pickled peppers on the side.

Mel's Diner must be one of the most famous diners in America. Famous for featuring in the American Graffiti film there are numerous Mel's scattered all over California. This particular Mel's is located down a side street just off of Hollywood Boulevard (on the opposite side to the metro station â you can't miss it there is a huge MELS sign right outside) and as you can see it is a great photo opportunity! We were feeling peckish so stopped for some 'brunch'. We enjoyed a breakfast burrito and chicken & waffles â both dishes were AMAZING and we finished the lot. The only thing we would say about the 'fried chicken and waffles' dish which is a slight negative is the chicken wasn't a fillet and had bones in but it's not the end of the world and completely down to preference (it didn't stop us from wiping the plate clean). We finished our meal by ordering a milkshake which was to die for, super delicious and they even serve the remaining shake in a silver stirring cup for you to enjoy after (not a drop goes to waste). When you're inside you can choose your own music on mini jukeboxes in your booth and you get a real 80's diner feel â even the wait staff are dressed for the occasion. The toilets were clean and the prices were reasonable (we paid $48 including service for the entire meal) which we found cheap for LA. At the end, we purchased a Mel's Diner fridge magnet from their souvenirs at the till to remember our visit :-) FAB TIME!Instagram: @journeywithuss

I was invited to meet some friends here for lunch yesterday. What an AMAZING VEGAN RESTAURANT!!! We started with the Zucchini Blossoms appetizer, which were incredible. The server told me go with either the Impossible Burgers or the Chicken and Waffles. One person in our group did the Impossible Burger, another the Crossroads Bowl, and the other Autumn Bowl. All were excellent!! I am going to make the trip back for sure!!

Nothing special. The lines are insane. It's slightly better than Denny's, with a much longer wait time.

My husband and I went for lunch to Granville. When we arrived we were the only guests. We were promptly greeted and seated. I ordered a salad and my husband a hamburger. Both dishes were made with organic ingredients. The service was attentive, the food tasty and the atmosphere was buzzing by the time we left. We would go back for dinner.
