I was pleasantly pleased when I stopped in for lunch. The egg salad sandwich was fabulous with bacon, avocado, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, served on ciabatta bread. The service was also good and I will definitely be back to try their soups and other offerings.

Upscale seafood focused restaurant housed in one of Benicia's most historic buildings steps away from the Carquinez Straight, with dramatic bay views.
Iâve been coming to Benicia for breakfast for the past several months but this was the first time here for breakfast. By far the best selection of items and best fried potatoes. Breakfast is only served Friday thru Sunday from 9:00 until 2:00. Otherwise, this is also a great lunch and dinner place 7 days a week. This is my new breakfast place in Benicia for the weekends.

We went here because it was the only place open at 2 on main street. Are we ever glad we did! Had deep fried pickles, perfect crust and nicely sour. Beet salad is not only superb, but also a work of art. Barrel Aged burger was succulent and had the perfect bun. Interesting cocktail list, bourbon tastings, and great bar music. Wonderful service. I could not have asked for more and I am taking everyone here.

We needed a Sunday breakfast meeting spot and chose Sal's after reading other TripAdvisor Reviews. We were greeted warmly and served coffee as soon as we ordered it. We took some time to make our selections, there are many choices. Our server was friendly and the food was excellent. Two in our party ordered omelets and one had the pancake special. All were delicious.

This is a relatively new Beer Pub that was opened in June 2011. My wife and I had lunch there and want to recommend it to others
On our way to farmers market we happened to see this place and after shopping at the market walked over for a quick drink. The place looked busy but we were told by a waitress walking by that there was more seating outside. It was perfect. Sat creekside, enjoyed an ice cold delicious beer on a nice sunny day. Great find!

I visited three independent Martinez eateries, attempting to support local business for lunch. I finally gave up and decided on my oldie but goodie standby at Kinders, in the Nob Hill shopping center. But I remembered the Grill and gave it a shot, especially after the hostess so grateful we had come in. We took a window table to enjoy the sunlight, and then our lovely waitress indulged the many questions I had about the draught beer. Against my grain, I (twice) ordered a refreshing, gluten-free vodka strawberry mint drink - yummmmmm! Rather than just split a burger, we ordered chicken nachos too, despite their seemingly high price. I still think they may be overpriced, but they were AMAZING. Maybe it's because I haven't had nachos in a while or maybe it was their homemade chips and all that cheese, but wow, we didn't even have room to eat the hamburger, which they thankfully brought after we had done as much damage to the nachos as we could - i.e., the plate of nachos is HUGE. The burger looked amazing: gorgeous thick chewy pretzel bun, ripe red (not mealy) Roma tomatoes, lovely green leaf lettuce, pickled onions, and charbroiled beef. Every sports game imaginable on the numerous tvs but not loud at all. All around fantastic.

Met a friend and did the John Muir House in Martinez, then headed downtown for lunch. I had done some research ahead of time and Haute Stuff was one of three places we considered. Found a parking space right across the street from it, and figured it was a "sign" to eat there.Casual place. Order and pay at the counter. Food is either given right there or brought to the table if it needs prepped. We all enjoyed what we ordered:French dip sandwich -- very good on a soft roll. Good au jus.Quiche was fresh and good. Side salad of green beans and potatoes was tasty -- right amount of dressing.Greek chicken salad also very good -- nice blend of flavors.Staff was friendly and efficient, even if the place was "slammed" with the lunch crowd.Prices are reasonable.Would definitely go back if I ever find myself in Martinez again.

Iâve been here several times and the food and service is always great. They have daily specials throughout the day, breakfast thru dinner. Breakfast was great but their red russet fried potatoes are cut up way too large which deters from a better flavor. I asked when I ordered if the cook could cut them up smaller but they said no. Fix your potatoes and Iâll rate you 5 stars next time. HI GregS,Thanks for taking the time to write about us.I'm sorry the cook didn't fix your potatoes. They should have and I will be sure to discuss your feedback with them.Thank you for your ongoing support.Best wishes,Mark KrullFirst St. Cafe

This place is always busy and delivers good portions and quality. The staff is friendly and attentive. This visit I had the French toast special with eggs and bacon. The French toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside just the way I like it.
