This is a local establishment, not a chain that has been serving the community for many years, per my relative. We stopped here late (8pm-ish) during a week night after a long flight into town to visit a relative. My wife and I both each ordered the California Chicken Salad and it was very good. The portion size was very big, so big that we could have shared one order very easily. I noticed they also have a good breakfast menu including huevos rancheros. I will definitely go back again the next time I am in the area.
Iâll give this restaurant a 5 rating because the service was good, food was good, served within appropriate timings: we enjoyed it. My husband and I had salads, the Asian pecan chicken and the cobb and they were HUGE, and very good, Our grandson had the pancake 2+2+2 combo with chocolate pancakes and 2 extra pancakes rather than the hash browns. We were all happy.

When youâre based in the home of Knottâs Berry Farm, itâs imperative that you make a real impression to your guests. Luckily, thatâs exactly what the Black Bear Diner in Buena Park is able to do. From the moment you step in the door, youâll be exposed to
Was greeted and seated promptly. Served drinks immediately. Rose our server kept our drinks topped off and was very friendly and efficient. Pecan Crusted Trout was prepared well. Entire meal was excellent.

Such a fantastic place to spend some time with your family and friends. Atmosphere is perfect, but can be a bit noisy and worth ear plugs at times. The most amazing thing is they have a dog menu for my service dog. They serve his food in a dog bowl. He sits on the seat next to me.
We had a wonderful breakfast here. Initially I ordered the French toast which was good but it had too much batter for me. The waitress happily exchange my French toast for another item. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. They are warm and sweet

While staying at the Holiday Inn in La Mirada we had an occasion for the five of us to have dinner at the hotel out of necessity. What a pleasant surprise!! Holiday Inn's are not necessarily known for their fine cuisine, but this one gets high marks. The Gorganzola salad was one of the best I've ever had. And the Salmon dish met with high marks as well. The server and the service was great. She even turned down the loud bar music at our request so we could converse over dinner without screaming at each other. If you are hungry while in La Mirada, give this place a try.

Home to America's favorite Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, salads, and chocolate cake.
I've been to Portillo's in Chicago and figured this West Coast outpost would be pretty similar since it's difficult to mess up a hot dog. I was disappointed. We shared a sausage, hot dog, cheese fries, and a salad. The Polish sausage was fantastic, almost as good as the the original. The hot dog was okay, but their chili is loaded with beans. So gross. Nobody wants beans on their hot dogs! The fries were crispy, but the cheese was just a side of fake velveeta plastic cheese sauce for dipping, not melty, real cheese on top. The salad was awful, even though it was made fresh right in front of me. First, the description on the menu was wrong. I had gross lettuce and not romaine as described, and the walnuts on top were candied. That meant loads of added sugar that I didn't want or need. Nothing on the menu said they were candied. That could spell disaster if a diabetic ordered it!This location also doesn't have proper mustard for their wieners. They only have regular yellow table mustard, and no specialty mustards. That is a huge fail for a hot dog joint, if you ask me.

Everything we ordered was excellent with the exception of the peach cobbler. Especially liked the mashed sweet potatoes. We had a friendly greeting and a very good waiter. Nice big booth which we requested. This restaurant is actually quiet, which is rare these days. Wish it was closer to home.

Welcome to North Woods Inn of San Gabriel, La Mirada and Covina! Come for juicy steaks, fresh seafood, enormous salads and our signature cheese bread. Whether you are in the mood for a quiet dinner for two, want to bring the office for lunch, or celebrate
6 of us went to an early Easter Sunday dinner. We sat in the Bar. Our waiter had our drink order quickly and it all went downhill from there. The Salads were very good...the Bread was soggy. He didn't take our dishes off the table before bringing out our entrees. We had to get up and move our own dishes to another table. I ordered the Filet for $39.99 and the meat was tasty but came overcooked. My friend ordered the Halibut for $42.95 and it was so overcooked that she only ate half of it. The vegetables on all our plates were mushy. We were so excited to go here as years ago they had one in Belmont Shore that was wonderful. They really need to fix their food. I am sorry I tipped 20%...that was a mistake. This is my first 2 star review ever out of over 600 reviews.

I was in the area on business and I invited a local customer to lunch. He said no need to come by his office and suggested we meet here. It was my first time here and I'm sure glad he introduced this place to me. Everything was great. The food, the service, everything was top of the line. I had the halibut and it was great. I'll make sure I get back here the next time I'm in the area.
