Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner - phone (209) 223-4888Open 7 days a week5am - 3pm
We stopped here this morning, starving. We ordered coffee and split a country fried steak breakfast with scrambled eggs and county potatoes, biscuits and gravy. The meal was outstanding, the coffee was freshly brewed and piping hot ~ and the service was 'spot on'! I heartily recommend this restaurant. It was clean and very nicely decorated.

Margaret's Cafe & Bakery features a traditional diner atmosphere that includes spacious seating, delicious food and a delectable Bakery that will have you coming back often for your favorites. An exceptional dining experience for the casual dining price,
Well I picked the Buffet last night, it was not as good as in the past! So before departing my friend's choice was Margaret's. we both ended up choosing from the smaller portions/seniors menu. She had an omelet with hash-brown's, the hash-browns looked a bit over cooked. I had Chicken tender's, in the future I think I will just order a sandwich. I seem to have better luck ordering from the Asian place in the back corner of the casino near "The Grill". I enjoy the noodle bowls there and you can pick what you want and for about $9.00, if you do not have a $5.00 coupon.

This was an awesome place to eat. The food was excellent. Had the grilled breakfast burrito. Outstanding flavor. Took bread pudding home for later. Some of the best I have had. It is a local favorite (which you see while sitting there) and with good reason. We will go again the next time we are in the area.

We stayed two nights at the nearby National Hotel and were thrilled to find this fun place and ate dinner both nights there at the bar. All of the wait staff and bartenders were great and the food was good.

I get the impression that this is what diners should be like. Comfortable, no-fuss with delicious home-cooked food. ( I hate so-called fine-dining ). We were given a lovely welcome & made to feel at home. They have a good range of beers & draft beers. Yes, I know the menu is very beef-heavy but this is California after all. Thoroughly recommend it.

Was looking for a nice place to stay and eat. Thought we would try this steakhouse, I have to say that our meal was not good at all. We had the 35 day dry aged rib eye and something that tasted like Dinty Moore stew in a can. The ribeye was so full of tendons that you couldnt even cut into it. We really wanted to like it here but just cant..service wasnt any good either. Nice atmosphere is the only good thing about this place.

American Food with a Full Bar
Wife and I have eaten here since opening as Thomi's. Until recently, good food and service. Unfortunately, servers now give priority to socializing amongst themselves and bar patrons, using iphones and drinking their designer coffees (from another restaurant, apparently) other than serving guests. I hope owner Frank takes this seriously. We do. This is certainly not the first incident but may be the last.

Good for locals and road trippers alike. Good food, attentive service, affordable prices. Clean restrooms. Friendly waitstaff. Ample parking. Our go to midway stop between Bay Area and Northern Nevada.

We stopped in for a late lunch, and we so impressed by the quality and tastiness of the food that we bypassed our hotel's breakfast just so we could eat there again before leaving Jackson. The menu was creative with fresh farm to table ingredients used throughout. Fresh is my new favorite flavor! All the servers were friendly and happy to answer touristy questions. And, if you know how to play the piano, a few minutes of fame awaits you!Thank you, rvhfl. We have as good a time serving you as you do dining with us! Please remember we are here and come again. Our Brunch menu changes often. If you are interested in learning more about our farm, the next Farm Dinner is August 10. We have limited seating and by reservation only. Call for details, 209.257.0227. Again, thank you for the stellar review.
