I believe this is the only place in Fairfield that serves crepes. We had been there before and today we went after a very long time. Well, will probably not go there again for at least a year. The crepes were greasier than I recollect from the past - change of cook? The serving size is generous and you can substitute fruit for potatoes - something I did not remember happening in the past. But the fruit was tasted unripe. All in all a very average place.

A local favorite!
We were staying at a nearby Inn while visiting our son & his family. They enjoy this restaurant, thought we would. We did. With 4 adults, 3 of whom were trying to eat healthy, a variety of dishes were ordered. All enjoyed. Iâm not a steak guy, so I narrowed my choices down to meatloaf and another. Asking our delightful waitress for other customers perceived preference, she identified the meatloaf, but qualified that assessment by saying the Shepardâs pie was a new addition. My only experience with it, has been thru Samâs Club. I liked theirs. I tried Cast Ironsâ. Loved it. When it arrived, my wife commented that it looked designed with me in mind. Being a big boy (6â3â, 238) who still spends at least 2 hours a day working out, I rarely defy my Motherâs admonition to âclean my plateâ. Cleaning that plate, was my workout on this day.

We were driving from San Francisco to Sacramento and needed a break for dinner. Found this little place and it was very good, even if all the dishes would benefit from less salt. My hangar steak was cooked perfectly, and the dressing on the bed of greens was citrus-y and yummy. Fries were good, too. My son's short rib was moist and tender, and my husband's pork chop was flavorful. Service was cheerful, though our waitress didn't tell us the specials. They have a great selection of beer and wine, no liquor. Nice place.

On May 4th, (2019) following our granddaughter's First Communion, our daughter had booked a large table for the family for a special luncheon at Mankas. It was a lovely, warm day, and we were delighted about being able to eat outdoors. We find the location of this restaurant absolutely charming. You drive down peaceful country roads, and there it is on one corner. The outdoor eating area, is a lovely private courtyard. Everything was wonderful about it, except that the wine tasting compound across the street was blasting (far from our choice of ) music. It was an intrusion of sorts, as here we were, in such a lovely space, having a celebration, yet, we were forced to listen to their loud music, and some sort of narrations using a microphone. Really ruins the mood. However, just like two years ago, our luncheon was a huge success. The service here is first class all the way, as is the food. Almost everybody started with the "Bone Marrow". I have never seen that dish anywhere else. It comes with thin baguette slices, and you can either eat the marrow straight from the cut bone, or spread it on the bread. Really delicious. I had my usual "Lobster Bisque", and as I was happily eating it, I did not pay much attention to what others were eating. However, there were no complaints at all from anybody, and everybody was happy with their choices. We, also, had several bottles of wine, to go with this delicious food. One more word about the service. This was our third visit to Mankas, and we could not be more impressed with these servers, who handle a large group with ease and graciousness. Always attentive, and circling around, making sure everybody is served properly. While we chat, and enjoy ourselves, they are working, but so effortlessly, that you are not even aware of it.All of us, very much, like this restaurant.

We had sandwiches at Joe's for lunch a couple of times in the past week. Order the sandwich, with or without dipping in gravy. They add the salad vegetable you wanted on the bread. We watched the "chef" sliced the meat in front of you and then put an inch stack of the thinly sliced meat on top of the vegetable, the other part of the bread goes on top. The whole sandwich is foil wrapped, placed on the tray with a little tub of gravy. And we had the tastiest sandwich you can buy in Fairfield.

Heretic Brewing Company is a micobrewery located in Fairfield, California. We brew all our beer on-site and have a restaurant and tap room featuring 19 taps of award-winning ales and lagers. We also serve a variety of local wines. We serve gourmet burgers
This is a great local place that is hidden away in the warehouse area. Great place to hang out with some friends and have some local IPAs. One must like IPAs as almost all of their beers are IPA. Just a few like the Blonde that are like regular lighter beers. They also serve burgers which go well with their drinks!

Huckleberry's is a franchise chain
Early afternoon midweek, just after Christmas, we were headed to a very popular, world famous, So Cal based burger outlet. Iâm certainly used to the drive-thru being very busy, but the line out the walk-in door extended almost to the road. Looking for an alternative, my son spotted Huckleberryâs. He was driving. He choose it. I cringed at not being able to research it on TripAdvisor, but, in we went. Upon entering, itâs potential was evident. My son, now associated with nearby TAFB, had been stationed for an extended time in the Gulf Shores. We had visited 3 times, once RVâing for over 3 months. The Cajun inspired atmosphere & menu here really resonated with all of us. This was meant to be a light lunch, so we limited our selections to chef salads. Excellent! And raspberry tea. Excellent! Weâll be visiting the area again a couple of times over the next few months. We will make it a point to explore Huckleberryâs take, on dishes we grew to love in the south. When I finally checked TripAdvisor ratings, they came as no surprise.

Not the same since Bab sold it, which is a tired refrain many of you probably already have heard, but it's still great and probably just nostalgia talking. New ownership kept the menu mostly intact, which mean's Bab's best meal is still available -- Chad's special (home made corn beef and hash with poached eggs). I used to be able to finish this plate, no more. With the new ownership you can get breakfast served with fried rice instead of potatoes. I think this is the only real difference I see and taste. Worth a stop!
