Morganâs in the desert is La Quintaâs signature dining venue showcasing contemporary American cuisine inspired by the bounty of the Coachella Valley. The restaurantâs local focus includes sourcing the top of the regionâs products, crafted with traditional
Full disclaimer--have only eaten here thrice because it is very spendy. On the other hand it is very worth it. The ambiance, the service, the food is about as good as it gets in the desert. Only suggestion/gripe:avoid sitting near the front where the open bad intrudes visually and audibly into the dining room. Get a table farther in or on the patio if it's decent weather.Dear lakester4,I am pleased that Morgan's in the desert is your special occasion dining destination of choice, and am even more pleased that the service, ambiance, and menu options made for such wonderful evening. We look forward to welcoming you again.Warmly,Marco FoelskeResort Manager

I came here with friends who were doing a home exchange in the area, so we followed the example of locals who love this place. We arrived on a Saturday at 5pm and when the front desk offered to show us to a table in the rather empty and expensive full-menu dining room, we opted instead to go straight into the bar. It was filled with mostly senior couples dressed to the nines for their night out, or just comfy and casual. Cheerful young waiters circulated among the tables, explaining the specials. Small plates are the way to go, along with happy hour drinks or a generous pour of wine. Only criticism is that the small plates are just that, really small for the price. A few things come in a larger size for sharing. We enjoyed the sliders, duck tacos and a carmelized pear salad.

Finally found the place in the strip mall area. Seemed like every other place had a larger logo/sign to know them, but finally noticed MasterFish Grill sign. Not knowing the place, I called to make a reservation...it worked, but totally not necessary. This is not a tableclothed, candle on the table place, but the food was great! Beer, Drunken Mahi mahi, and cedar-planked glazed salmon with vegetables and mashed potatoes and Dynamite scallops with coconut rice (tasty!) and vegetables. All fish was hot, but the sides could have been hotter. Good service and food arrived in timely manner.

During our one-night stay at the Hyatt, we had the opportunity to have both dinner and breakfast at the Lantana. Everyone in our big family of 22 enjoyed it very much and many agreed that it was one of our best dinner.Service was also very enjoyable and friendly: one of the steaks was overcooked and they replaced it immediately without any discussion (none expected tbh...).The chef is very innovative which is rare enough and bold enough in this area to be mentioned, definitely comparable to some trendy restaurants we get in Paris, where we come from.Breakfast was much more classic, of course, but still very enjoyed and with nice service.Thumbs up to the staff.

This isn't in a "normal" spot, squeezed in amongst warehouse sized neighbors, but it is interesting tapas style food, without being amazing or must go again. Small restaurant with all glass front that sadly was ruined a couple of times with cars parking and leaving highlights blazing into the restaurant, a couple of times. Service was pleasant and the prices were fair. Like I said its ok, its good in fact, but it's just not all that memorable or romantic or quaint. Its small, packed and lacking a vibe or ambiance of any note

Temporarily Closed (until August 5th) due to maintenance. Another great season has passed, and a new one begins to bloom at Shields' Cafe. For those of you who have come to our store and tried our incomparable date shake, watched the Romance and Sex Life
Things were a bit hectic today. Part of order was missing and no split checks. Some didn't like the chipotle hollandaise sauce but I enjoyed the crab cakes. Ice tea is flavored. Mimosas and bloody Mary's are expensive and nothing special. Stuffed dates are very pricey but love the side salad with dates. There us live music. Have enjoyed it more on other occassions.Hello Ms. Sue, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that part of your order was missing and would like to know if we addressed this issue for you during your visit. With Mother's Day being one of the busiest days of the year, if not the busiest, we do understand that things may sometimes become hectic especially for our kitchen. It is also for this reason that we do not offer separate checks on these busy holidays although we do our best to accomodate this request even for large groups throughout the season. Please note that we do have daily drink specials in which you can get your mimosa at $5 instead of our regular $8 price and 50% off all bottles of wine, etc. We want you to enjoy your visit every single time and would love for you to return soon with a reservation taken by management so that we can make up for your less than excellent experience. Please feel free to call us at 760-775-0902 as we would love to speak to you so that we can make things right. We hope to hear from you soon. Thank you. -A. M.

My husband went the original Louiseâs Pantry in Palm Springs as a boy, so it was fun to find this one, literally around the corner from our second home in La Quinta! The breakfasts are pricy but include huge portions! Yummy!

Went to LG's with my inlaws during our visit on a Saturday evening. There is a waiter there named John but called Joe too does their commercials who is a hoot. He knows everyone and came over to our table to chat and help our server out. The wine was wonderful, a molbech.....the steaks (we shared a rib eye) was cooked nicely but we did not think it had much flavor. We ordered three sides, mushrooms brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes with onions. The potatoes were quite good but the mushrooms were dry and flavorless, brussels were not that great either. I like mushrooms in butter and garlic but these were mostly stems and pieces and dry. Hoping for better from them.Thank you for your review. You are speaking of Joe who has been with us for over 25 yrs. He is an original! We have passed along your comments to our Chef. We hope to see you again!

This was one of the few times that I could actually enjoy the flavor of the clams in the clam chowder. More clams than other stuff. The service was great, friendly, and quick.Enjoyed the view of the cliffs and the wonderful food.
