Pointe Dubique B&B is an old fashion style B&B 15 minutes from Douglas-Charles Airport in Calibishie. A 5 minute walk to Hodges Beach and centrally sited we are close to many attractions. Only 2 rooms insures private intimacy and superb personal service. Full gourmet breakfasts included and extended meal plan available. Meals served by sea view terraces and presented by your hosts.
We absolutely loved our holiday stay at Pointe Dubique. We can't say enough positive things about John & Michelle's customer service. They were quick to respond to emails and provided excellent suggestions. Each morning we anxiously awaiting breakfast. The homemade bananas bread was moist and tasteful. Once we discovered Pt. Baptiste Beach which was a slight walk away, we were hooked on the area. The B & B provided privacy and we felt very secure in the neighborhood. Great atmosphere to recharge and very aware of covid precautions. No A/C but plenty of fans. Really no need as nice breeze from ocean.

As our name suggests, Mainroad Suite is located on the main road in the very heart of this incredible place, Calibishie, Dominica. It overlooks the Atlantic ocean and some of our marvelous mountains are visible from the inside as well as from the very large back and front verandahs of the building. Calibishie is close to some of the best beaches on the island, some are within walking distance of the "Suite". The four (4) bedroom suite contains a king-sized bed, two queen-sized bed, one double bed and one single bed. There are 3 bathrooms (one with a tub), a fully equipped and very large kitchen, and a dining and living room. Two supermarkets are within walking distance, one less than 60 seconds away. There is an ATM machine close by. Cable TV and internet/wifi are provided free to all our guests. Laundry services are available. The property is only 10 minutes from the airport.
My wife and I stayed in the studio apartment for 8 nights. Young Nixon (the manager) was a terrific support and guide for our island experience. After just a short time you begin to get a feel for what life is like there for Dominicans--as this place is a part of a local neighborhood. Young's parents also keep an eye on things--and his mother even loaned us a wonderful book "Black and White Sands" by the late British ex-pat Elma Napier. So much of what the book describes is still a part of Island culture. The studio unit is well-built, the queen bed is comfortable, and the overall feel of the place is great. The on;y downside for us was related to the upside--if someone in the neigborhood is having a party, you are going to hear it. The first couple of days, also, was Carnival, so of course there was a lot of partying. That's not the every day experience. Highly recommended!

Sandbar is right on the Ocean..... Ocean View room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean towards Marie-Galante and Guadeloupe. Village room is overlooking the coast road and village. We have an on-site bar and restaurant...right on the beach. There are shops and restaurants all within very easy walking distance. Public transport passes the door and will link up to tour the entire island.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Calibishie Sandbar for about a week and we had a great time. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, the food at the bar was delicious and the owner is a very lovely women with whom we had some fun and interesting conversations almost ever night after dinner. I am happy we chose the Calibishie Sandbar for our stay and I definitely recommend it. We had an awesome time ????

The Nixon's Bayside Mangrove Inn is a beautiful guest inn pretty close to the beach, which gives it that unique quality. It is quiet, private and perfect for that special vacation.
Couldn't ask for a better host; made to feel welcome and safe. Winston's guest house is very clean, every comfort is provided, views are mesmerizing and the location is ideal. If you want to experience local culture art and food, the folks of Calibishie will share with you. Best rest of my life here thanks to Winston, Neville and Chris.

We spent 7 quarantine days at Jacoway Inn Carol Ann is the best host and we looked forward to seeing her at temperature checks. She is the best cook and every breakfast we had from omelette, to fish cakes, to the best baked breads and pastries was delicious. 5 stars across the board.

Catering to active and adventure-minded travelers, Wanderlust Caribbean is an all-inclusive boutique hotel that offers adventure travel vacation packages in Dominica. Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic, Dominica is known as the "Nature Island of the Caribbean" and is ideal for explorers, outdoor enthusiasts, and nature lovers interested in active and multi-sport travel.
OK, slight admission before I write this review …. Dominica is not a country we knew a great deal about before and wasn’t really on our radar as somewhere to visit … However, it will now be one of the places I will try and encourage anyone who will listen to go! Our stay in Dominica was part of our three-week honeymoon – we had got cheap flights to St Lucia but knew we wouldn’t want to spend our entire time on one island (and are a couple who would struggle to spend an extended time at an all-inclusive beach resort). Having researched our island-hopping options, we homed in on Dominica and Wanderlust through reports in the Lonely Planet. What followed was an experience that far exceeded any expectations we had. While there is a lot of detail on the website as to what you’ll get as part of your holiday, it does not do justice to the role Tom and Sharie play in creating such an action-packed and unique experience. Tom and Sharie’s love for the outdoors, passion for Dominica, and local knowledge means that you pack in so much more than you would if you tried to self-guide (some places you would never find on your own!) or took individual day tours. As has been mentioned in other reviews every day they try and pack in multiple sites or activities – for example, one day we were hiking a section of the WNT before jumping in the sea for some snorkeling… only to get out and have local lobster for dinner (plus a fair few rum punches) on the beach! Another day we’d be hiking to coastal rock pools for a swim and then on to inland waterfalls, always having the places completely to ourselves! We also had two ‘specialist’ tours which are run by companies that Tom and Sharie have built partnerships with. We did Canyoning and Diving … and would highly recommend both! Another bonus for us was that we got to meet other like-minded people and made some great friends during our stay. I cannot recommend Wanderlust enough! Thank you Tom & Sharie!

Veranda View is located on the main road in the seaside village of Calibishie. There is an upper and lower Veranda. There are two rooms sharing the wide covered and open Veranda. There is a vista of sand- ocean -rocks- mountains. The trade winds provide a cool escape from the village and is a great place to relax after touring the island. On the ground floor there is a 3rd room opening on to the lower Veranda. Here you can enjoy the beach, only 20 feet from the guest house, or sit with your friends and other guests while you share your incredible experiences of the day touring the Nature Island.Be sure to book for one of Hermein'e fantastic breakfasts, or reserve for dinner. Hermein's meals are as unique as the island. A blend of local, english, french and dutch foods. A great meal to be remembered. The rooms are basic but have all the comforts of home, decorated in an artistic manner.
I stayed with Hermien at the start of my trip to Dominica and felt so welcome and comfortable. It is a lovely place in a lovely village and a great place to start my visit. There were a few restaurants within walking distance and walks, beaches and places to visit within easy reach. Thank you for my first experience of Dominica!

Treehouse accommodation with fantastic views. Fabulous restaurant and great host. We had the lobster a couple of times as it was so delicious. Rum punch flowing here. Lots of atmosphere. Close to Batibou Beach and in a good location for the airport.
