During the day and at sunset views over the coast are superb. We went on a Sunday evening and it was quiet but a steady stream of locals came for drinks and snacks.Ordered a beef skewer, fish with banana, salad and fries with wine.First up was a surprise of some chicken balls, lovely curried chicken in balls.Mains great, fresh hot & tasty. Wine â¬8 and more than passable.Just over â¬30 and we were both stuffed. Was a 20 minute walk from our residence but a drive for almost anyone really.
Excelent, tasty and cheap mojito. Friendly staff on a very peaceful and beautifull seaside place. Beach is just next to this Bar. Perfect for a quick dive.

Called into Calhauâs Beach Bar as it looked inviting and we were hungry.Waited 20 minutes before we were acknowledged then told to hang on 2 mins10 minutes past and we left. Totally disappointed
Right on the beach so it's a great location at the end of the esplanade. Friendly and efficient staff with a relaxing atmosphere where you can sit for a few hours having coffee, beer, lunch.... The best Prego Normal (garlic steak roll) in town. Great prices especially considering its on the beach.

We didn't expect to find such a casual and relaxed place to enjoy the local seafood. And it was great, we just wish we had more time to try everything. The owners were warm and inviting, really down to earth and dog friendly! Gregorio and Filó were wonderful. The cook was great and even shared a recipe! Lastly, Francisco took great care and even taught a little portuges. Muito bom!

This is so much more than a snack bar! We had fresh fish of superb quality and the waiter was very welcoming and professional. The prices are good value. The view over the marina is lovely. This place is frequented by many locals and workers in the area and we only wished we were here for more days to visit again.

We enjoyed the open air seating, sea view and breeze, fine drinks, and delicious bola de cago, fish soup and lapa mussels - it is worthwhile to come here and hang out. Owners speak various languages (English, Spanish, German), staff is super friendly. After lunch go for a walk through the village of Jardim do Mar, a real garden with old houses and lots of terraces, a repaired water mill and very pretty village. Great place, highly recommended. Child friendly.

Really beautiful bar with a front side where you can sit in the aisle of the romantic village. But beside the inner large area thereâs a beautiful backyard with a small pond. Excellent drinks - recommend the fresh natural juices - or any other type of drink. Small four delicious food selection. Enjoy!

We went experimenting with the feedback being so high,we arrived the employee was friendly although only speak portuguese. We ordered "minced meat" and limpets.whe waited for a long time 45 m ok whe wre not in a rush but then insted of meat he brought octopus i found it funny but i don't like octopus! I went to talk to the cook because she speaks fluent English and when I got to what they call the kitchen I was terrified it was such a tiny space where meat was store whit fish and juice and fruits it must have been about 45 degrees where the cook's sweat fell straight into the food.I just left the place feeling sick.
