Los Geranios is across from the fort (Battilon sp?) near Milan in Manizales.They have typical Colombia dishes all done very well. The service is great. The owners are almost always there making sure you have a pleasant meal. Not fancy but clean and comfortable.

This a local bar where you can seat right inside of an airplane (I guess is a Boeing 727) and share a great experience with friends in the Manizales nite with a wonderful view of the city well above of the "sky". Please fasten your belt before "take off".

Located in one of Manizales' best neighborhoods, this is one of several good options for a good meal on that very street. We arrived with no reservation for dinner and were seated immediately. We started off with a round of local (Bogotá) craft beers that were excellent (Cajicá BBC, very recommended). Then we all ordered 'buffalo' steaks and they were all very tasty, though nothing sophisticated. Keep in mind South American buffalo is an entirely different animal than North American buffalo: they taste much, much closer to beef than their northern counterpart. Our venezuelan waiter was more than friendly and helpful, which helped set the tone for the whole experience. Perhaps the only down-side was ordering a bottle of Prosecco that had not been cooled so had to be returned, which left us no choice but to order an Argentinean red wine instead. By the way, it was a pleasant surprise to find most of their wine list had extremely good prices, so don't drive there, take a cab instead ;)

At first, we were marveled by the ambiance: simple but chic, bright and cozy... the kitchen is not hidden behind a wall, but open behind a large glass window so you can actually see what's "cooking" inside.Every step of the meal is innovative: from the hand-towel given to you to clean your hands at sitting, through the welcome infusion cocktail of a marvelous turquoise colour, to the final misty farewell meringue.We didn't have an appetizer, although they seemed delicious, but rather the main course, which was delicious... not too large as in common restaurants, nor too small as in exaggerated Michelin-style want-to-be's. It was just right.The flavours were fantastic.A truly new cuisine innovating experience!

You are received by the grassy smoke that comes out, and the two owners, who explain you that the service is kind of... non-existent, you help yourself. The # of tables is not enough, so you will wait standing while the sitting guests feel they are supposed to finish quick and leave. The food is average, the meat of the burger is good, and is the only ingredient that deserves attention, the fries were too dark, almost burned. Overall disappointing, feels like an improvisation exercise, where you pay and don't get much.

The worst service I have ever experienced in my life. They did not even want to bring water to all my guests after they cried I have to pay for tap water which i don't care it's a surprise 40th birthday we are all trying to have a good time. Asked for the servers to walk around and get everyone's drink order and still they did not. They have no clue about service, its absurd. Would never return because of how horrible they just are at service and attitude. I visited this establishment based on the great reviews; actually we bypassed a recommendation from the hotel, to dine here. I need to emphasize that the service was 1st class; the waitress was very professional and wanting to please us. However, the food was not up to par. The pork loin was over cooked, and the Pat Thai, was good, but the sauce was a bit too sweet. One thing that I would like to point out, the waitress asked for our opinion on the food and received the critic very well and passed it to the kitchen. I have to give them kudos for that. Maybe it was a bad day, but in the restaurant business you have to be on point always. I canât recommend it.

I don't understand the positive reviews for this restaurant. I went on a Wednesday evening and I can only imagine that the chef was ill. The food was awful. A bland salad swimming in water followed by a tasteless chicken enchilada, greasy quesadillas, watery guacamole and unseasoned beans. Without doubt this is the worst Mexican meal I have ever eaten, and Padrisimo surely has the dubious title of the worst Mexican restaurant in Colombia.
