As always, Max's fried chicken is good to the last bite. Other house specialties taste equally superb. Open a bottle or two of ice-cold beer ... you wouldn't notice had taken one too many.
Cool place, nice for meeting friends, guests, or simply chill ... spacious function room for special occasion. Bring home sweets and baked products from their take-out counter.
Ample parking space, central location along JP Rizal adjacent to other fast-food chains, near the Capitol and business establishments.

Located in front of Neo Calapan City Mall and near Filipiniana Hotel Calapan
Ate lunch here yesterday, we tried the combo meals because we were on a budget. Liked the lechon kawali and sisig. the former was crunchy while the latter is spicy, i did not like the mayo they put on the sisig. Very nice although tight interior but I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Jus t a distance walk from the Calapan public market and popular with locals in terms of chinese cuisene. As a local of this town I've grown up with this eatery as a kid and going back to Calapan after 15 years I really would like to make a proper review of this restaurant.
Panciteria Mabhuhay was once the most popular panciteria in Calapan City. Been to this restaurant many times before - at its original location at JP Rizal - and had witnessed how people form a queue to get seated, including those taking take-out orders. Serving Chinese-influenced cuisine (the owners being Filipino-Chinese) Panciteria Mabuhay noodles taste different from the good number of restaurants and panciteria in Calapan .. plus the fact that the serving was BIG for Less. That popularity may have made Panciteria Mabuhay a subject of several issues raised against them. True or otherwise, people began to distance from the once most sought-after panciteria in town.
I myself have been missing their 'Canton Guisado' for years. I happened to pass by Panciteria Mabuhay at their new location in Ramkirez Street yesterday. It is not as busy the way it used before ...

Halo-halo dessert and we now breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We went to Isel's Ians Halo-Halo for their famous Halo-Halo. We were greeted by their friendly staff. We ordered Halo-Halo and Aroz caldo. The restaurant it self is small but it's fresh and clean. The food was great. The portions are just the right size and everything tastes great. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart!!

We held the Project Orientation Workshop at a new restaurant in Tawiran, Calapan City. We had nearly 30 participants from various municipalities of the province of Oriental Mindoro and together with CEST, the overall project consultant and sponsored by the Provincial Tourism Office, the workshop lasted the whole day. Breakfast was served of daing na bangus with egg and nice ripe mangoes. The lunch was yummy. Barbecue Chicken and Kare Kare. For merienda we had the famous suman with latik. The whole party of about 50 occupied the big hall. There were games and focus group discussions. Lectures from various resource speakers also enlightened the various government officials on brand marketing and global trends on tourism. The restaurant had nice landscaping and interiors and provided the perfect venue.

This place is a hot spot frequented by locals when live bands are playing on Fridays and weekend nights. On other days the place is almost empty except for a few patrons.
The place looks nice. Waiters' service can use a little more polishing but was good overall. The menu was composed mainly of Filipino and Asian dishes. The food we ordered was good.

It was nearly noon and we needed to catch the SuperCat Ferry schedule at 12:30 noon from the Calapan pier to Batangas City. We asked MJ our driver and he pointed us to Peking Siopao and Panciteria. Coming from Divine Word College, it was a fast trip to E.Leuterio Street in San Vicente West. The small restaurant is a simple panciteria that serves basic Chinese comfort food from mami, noodles, and their famous siopao....chicken, asado, bola bola and jumbo. All three of us ordered siopao and ate as quick as we can. We didn't eat much since the ferry ride may not be as smooth. After 15 minutes we were off in time to catch the schedule. At least we were satisfied with the siopao. Though simple, light but enough to make us full until we stopover for a snack at SLEX- Sta. Rosa.

My wife and I went there for an early dinner and coffee. The atmosphere is great the wait staff is great the menu choices were many. Only disappointment was the food was only ok. I had a crispy chicken Sandwich and was told it would have mayonnaise. I got Filipino style mayo with banana ketchup mix other than that the Sandwich was great. Got the fish fillet appetizer that was tasty also but no tartar sauce, again Filipino mayo with banana ketchup mix. We got beef lasagna looked great tasted mediocre. The coffees were great. Highly recommend them. If this place had great food then it would have it all.
