One of our favourite places on our first trip to Costa Rica . Arrival was an adventure in itself being picked up by a 4x4 and heading off down an “ unmade road “ for 35 minutes crossing the river en route . If the river is swollen then zip lining across is an additional adventure. Accommodation is in spacious comfortable wooden cabins well spaced so feel private. Big comfy beds complete with mosquito nets with solar power providing lighting and hot water . Large decks with hammocks and seating come with a view and are ideal to relax and enjoy the sounds of the forest . Meals are on a communal basis at set times which gave us an excellent opportunity to discuss the days adventures with other guests . No meal choices but food fresh , well cooked and plentiful and for a vegetarian extremely well served . Guides were professional, friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable and brought the forest to lif on the good selection of tours available ( including those on horseback or a gyrocopter).Jurgen and his team should be proud of their achievement an amazing experience and memories- highly recommended.

Cahuita and its National Park are an irresistible attraction to nature lovers. Cahuita maintains its Afro-Caribbean style; its characteristic houses, reggae music and calypso in the air. We are situated on the edge of the Cahuita National Park. It is an ideal place for those who wish to relax and appreciate the local flora and fauna, listen to birdsong and watch the monkeys high in the huge trees.
We stayed in the smallest bungalow for four nights. The garden is a corner of paradise in the middle of the forest, where you can listen to the waves of the sea and to the parrots and howler monkeys, all at the same time! The family who runs the hotel was kind and accomodating, they promptly attended to our requests and helped with small needs. The bungalows and the kitchen were always tidy and very clean, very safe also during the current pandemic. An enchanted place to stay for a few days in Cahuita.

This was our first trip to Cahuita, and we were so fortunate to have landed in this idyllic little hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and each has a beautiful little patio looking out to the ocean, which is only a few steps away. A lush garden area spans the area between the hotel and the ocean, and our very first day we spotted a sloth in the trees. Over the next three weeks we were treated to howler monkeys (wow, are they loud at 5:30 am!), poison dart frogs, more sloths, beautiful butterflies (including the blue morpho), huge moths (including a hand sized cecropia moth), and just a lovely laid back vibe. Guiseppe and Elisa, the wonderful Italian owners, are on the property every day ensuring that everyone is well taken care of. The staff are all wonderful...Phillipe, Juana, Andrea, Evalina, Edama, Daniel, the cook whose name I didn't get, and probably others, & I'm sorry if I missed someone. Every person contributed to a wonderful and relaxing stay here. We definitely plan to be back.

Rooms are rustic but do have air conditioning, comfortable beds. The location is very close to the beach an easy walk. The nearby beach has soft sand, warm water, our kids all surfed. The host makes a delicious breakfast for a reasonable price, her coffee is delicious. There is a pleasant clean pool. Recommend.

When, arriving in the dark, I saw the sign directing me into an alley, I wondered what I would find. Turned out to be a hidden oasis in the heart of Cahuita. It was pouring warm rain and Ivon was waiting in her covered, outdoor reception area for me. She spoke English well enough for us, me a typical English first language traveler, to understand one another. I was given a parking spot right in front of my spacious, clean cabin, which was so prettily decorated and had a covered porch with rockers. Sat out there both evenings I was there, just listening to the rain, the waves and the frogs. Darling, their volunteer housekeeper (be sure to tip), was aptly named, a warm, kind lady. Surrounded by their own little jungle to explore, Titos is short walking distance to town centre and just across the road from the beach. Priced very affordably. Definitely recommended highly.

Was staying at hotel sunshine for almost a week and was very happy with the place. The location is perfect, price is good and just a few steps from the entrance to the national park. The room is clean, has got wi-fi, television and the hot water works with no problem. José, the owner is always there to help if you have any problem.

The lodge is located minutes away from the national park which makes it easy to get around. The room was initially a little musty and the pillows somewhat thin/lumpy, but otherwise comfortable for a short stay. My room did not have hot water during our stay (although others in the same property did) but as it was around 30 degrees C outside, I did not mind that at all. Breakfast (the only meal available in the lodge) was simple but plentiful, and there are many restaurants a short walk away for other meals. Having spent all my time in Cahuita at the beach, I did not use the small pool on the property but it seemed nice. Wifi is available only at reception which is not exactly the best location to hang out in as the mosquitoes seemed to gather there in droves every evening. A flashlight is essential to move around the property after sunset as the wonderful and large trees in the garden send out roots in the middle of the path which can be trip hazards. The friendliness of the staff, the pleasant gardens with howler monkeys, agoutis and many birds, and the bright pink hammock outside made up for any inconveniences!

קבלנו אישור הזמנה בבוקינג בלילה לפני הנסיעה from San Jose to cahuita.
