The staff were lovely, and the room was good, but the price was well over what it would normally be. The experience was good, but the price was quite insulting when usually it would cost £44.50/£69 for 1 night, its cost £107, I wanted to book for the following night too, but then the price increased to £117, I could pay that amount for a flight abroad.

The hotel was originally a farmhouse and converted into a hotel over 40 years ago. From 1978 up until 2008 it was owned by the Wright family. In early 2008 the hotel was put up for sale and bought by the Kilroe family who took over the hotel and submitted their improvement plans for the existing building. Then in April 2009 the ‘new’ Red Hall Hotel was officially opened by Sir Alex Ferguson. The hotel is now under new ownership of the Batra family who have exciting plans for the future!
We recently stayed here for 2 nights in March for a freinds wedding. We checked in Friday afternoon which was easy, quick and friendly, our room was nice and clean, there was a comfy double bed, a good shower over the bath, there was a TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee in the room. We had booked a meal with freinds on the Friday night, all the meals were really good, along with plenty to drink, the cost of the meals and drinks was very reasonable. Saturday the wedding was held at the hotel, the wedding itself was upstairs in a really nice bright room the service itself was conducted by a lovely lady. The reception was downstairs, the room/hall was lovely the hotel provided a buffet which was really nice and as the evening progressed the hotel layed on more food, the disco was really good. The wedding and reception was really well run and organised, all in all a lovely stay at a very nice, friendly hotel where we found all the staff helpful and friendly,

With COVID-19 we have had to make some changes to ensure that you, and our teams stay safe. We know some of these changes will not meet yours, or our expectations but we ask for your support and understanding. #staysafe #bekind As you make your way up the sweeping drive in you will be greeted with a welcoming approach of flowers gardens and rockeries, seated terraces, cascading streams and pools. The hotel itself is Tudor in style, unique and characterful lending to its history as a former Candle Mill. The hotel allows you to get a taste of the building as it used to be and what we have on offer. Set in the heart of Lancashire overlooking the Rossendale Valley, Quaint in its setting and modern in its internal decoration, our hotel is warm and friendly and situated perfectly for all your relaxation needs. We have a small and unique Health Club offering Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and Pool. We have a full Gymnasium for residents and members to use. Open from 6am unitl 10pm everyday, and most importantly free to our hotel residents.
We booked this after finding the offer on Facebook and decided to give it a try. As we had not heard of the Lavender group before we took a punt on The Old Mill. The AI+ consisted of Afternoon Tea, a 3 course meal and drinks from 6pm till 11pm. Plus full English Arrival book in not available until 3pm At 2pm arranged afternoon Tea. Not a pot but "A" Cup of Tea or coffee with usual sandwiches and cake/Scones cream. Note bar did not open before 3pm Short walk to a couple of pubs. Room. Clean an decent size, bathroom, shower over bath. (Limited toiletries), towels. Iron and ironing board, tea/ coffee, hairdryer. TV (had to tune that) Bed (uncomfortable even with mattress topper Needs replacing as part of one side has sprung). View.... car park and tatty building. As there was no net curtain the main curtain has to be shut for privacy. Window opened fully (ensure shut before leaving room. No air conditioning therefore window needs to be open, noise from fan system for (I presume) pool, gym etc) very annoying. It was either that or sweat Although the rooms are "supposed" to be non smoking rooms evidence would suggest otherwise. (Stale smell and dog ends outside the window) AI+ Wine in room (had to prompt) Cold bottle provided BUT I would suggest if this is offered then the rooms should have a small fridge. Or served with ice bucket....nothing worse than warm wine Dining room/bar. Clean but very dated with some maintenance required. AI food....be aware it is a small but adequate menu with a small subsidy for access to other items. Example A pub staple like Fish and Chips requires a couple of quid. The quality was very good. Bar.. AI decent selection of Beer, wine and spirits however premium drinks are subject to surcharge. Hotel. A bit dated but OK. Was part of the Best Western group but since this year are no longer Staff...I could not fault them, reception, bar, and dining. Friendly, helpful and seem to want the group to succeed. Disability. Ramp to reception and spa but that appears to be the extent of disabled facilities there was no sign of lift and I observed one guest struggling with stairs Animals. Dog friendly WiFi. Free but hit and miss, 4g signal not strong Spa facilities not used We were in room 19 as this was the only room I've seen I can only assume the remainder (except wedding suite) are similar. All in all a pretty good deal (BUT) due to room we were allocated I would be reluctant to enthusiastically recommend, however on the other hand I would not dismiss

Stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding, the reception was next door in the adjoining complex… the location of the hotel to reception was excellent. The overall feel for the hotel was that it was in need of a refurbishment, it could be an outstanding place with a modernisation of the hotel and garden…

Stayed in flat 5 which was fine shower head needs an update . The owner takes way to long to check you in so make sure you arrive an hour before just for that, then there’s the housekeeping who comes at 10 in the morning but really she’s just invading your privacy as she doesn’t even refill tea and coffee and when you ask her she doesn’t know where he keeps it so my question is why are you here this is a serviced apartment not a hotel. The deposit is way to high. £220 what the hell for. I don’t know if I’d go back
