Sometimes this is a fun local bar/restaurant. Sometimes the food is great. Sometimes it is not obnoxiously noisy. But, I have quit going as sometimes just wasn't good enough for me. Lunch times are better. I like sitting near the "raging" Credit River (a small creek), and the menu is nicely varied with typical sandwiches and a few unique additions. But too often I haven't gotten what I ordered, the wait times can be long, and the noise can be unbearable

They have gluten free menu which one friend needs. Excellent choices on that menu as well as regular menu. Choices ranged from pastas to seafood to sandwiches, salads and soups. Have alcoholic and non alcoholic. Service excellent.

I try hard to support locally-owned coffee houses, having visited close to 90% in the Twin Cities.
The more Suburbia the neighborhood, the more difficult to find. There is a little place in Burnsville that, while it hasn't had my favorite version of atmosphere (I like cozy), it has GREAT coffee and good service. I guess they have terrific waffles too.
I was disappointed today when I stopped in to spend an hour or so getting comfy on one of the sofas with my Joe and breakfast item. I discovered that they removed all comfortable seating - there are still two occasional chairs but truly not a comfortable kind - and replaced with tables/chairs.
While I understand the desire to seat more customers - after all, that's why someone's in business here - it's no longer gonna satisfy my bent to lounge and sip.
I truly do wish them well.

"In a home, the kitchen is the spot where families gather, parties migrate, and food draws friends around. That's also the spirit of Vivo kitchen: we are a place to come as you are. We use local, seasonal ingredients to prepare food that's delicious without being mysterious. Vivo translates as "life" - and that is what we want every guest to experience to the fullest. We look you in the eyes, care for you personally, and make you feel as welcome as if you are in our home. Because, for us, a kitchen is the heart of a home - and great hospitality is the heartbeat."
Came here for dinner as it was rated #1 in Apple Valley, so what could go wrong? The drinks were pretty good, but the food was terrible. One entree was overly salted and the other had no flavor at all. Server was friendly but hardly seen throughout the night. Waited for 20 minutes after getting our drinks to be able to order as she wasn't seen for that long and it wasn't even busy.
Not sure how this place is #1, but wouldn't come back.

In the Minneapolis area and found this local recommendation on Trip Advisor.
Jillian was our server and her service was above average. My dining companions included my husband and two grandchildren, ages 8 and 4. The pancakes with whip cream and strawberries, from the kids menu, received two thumbs up from our 4 year old. Also ordered from the kids menu were eggs, ham, toast and fried red potatoes. Our 8 year old enjoyed the eggs and toast. He did not care for the potatoes or ham. Me and my husband had eggs, bacon/sausage, the red potatoes and toast. My husband also had a pancake. Eggs were not served as requested. Bacon and sausage were highly average. Our toast was okay but a little hard. I enjoyed the red potatoes, while my husband did not. Buttermilk pancake were given a solid four, out of five.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the ambience and local flavor of the area we felt while dining at Jensen’s Cafe. We were slightly disappointed in the food, given the glowing reviews I read online. However, we would probably return to try out lunch and dinner options.

Featuring woodfired rotisserie cooking, Doolittles Woodfire Grill is an experience that ignites all of your senses! The woodfired rotisserie grills meat over an open flame for a savory wood roasted flavor. The rotation of the rotisserie creates self basting and slow roasting skewers resulting in juicy and succulent meats such as Spit-Roasted Chicken, and Smoked Hanger Steak with Horseradish-Whipped Potatoes and Red Wine Demi. Doolittles boasts over 60 wines by the bottle and 30 selections by the glass. Gluten Free & Vegetarian menus available. Warm, relaxing atmosphere...come as you are!
The interior of the restaurant is really nice and it helped that it was snowing and they have a nice fireplace. The server was perfect. He recommended the chicken wings and they were great. The chicken and wild rice soup was perfect and amazing on a cold winter night. A great evening.

For $20, I got a Thai iced tea, veggie egg rolls, and an entree! I really recommend the Rad Na with mock duck, it was so good! If they served alcohol, I'd move in.

Jo Jo's is a cute little spot across the street from The Mraz Center. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu consists of soups, cracker bread pizza, sandwich's, salads, pastries and breakfast items. They serve coffee, smoothies, soda, beer and wine. We like to stop in from time to time for a quick bite. It is a very handy spot to stop in before a show. It is a small space though.

We have been to Porter Creek on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food, ambiance and service.
During our latest family visit, half way though the meal the restaurant lights dimmed down to a point most of us could hardly see our plate. Ambience is nice, but this was really dark.
We noticed guests at a table across for us were also having a hard time reading the menu due to the poor light. I mentioned it to our server who responded that “the lights are on a timer”.
Feeling the timer was not the problem, but rather turning up the dimmer on the lights would resolve the issue. I was told that “I would need to speak with the manager”.
I asked if the manager could come to our table, but unfortunately the manager never did. Magically the check found its way to the table although it was hard to read as well. I just hope I calculated to total correctly…
I would recommend adding a flashlight app to your cellphone if you’re going to dine after sunset.

We are located at the intersection of Hwy 13 and Nicollet Avenue in Burnsville, across from the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. Free parking in our lot and the ramp across the street. We are also adjacent to Nicollet Commons Park.
The food is fresh and very good! We all enjoyed a lunch buffet....service was great too!! My favorite dish was the gyros!
