Crispy-skinned goose today's Sunday special; sides of lentils with bacon, red cabbage, and dumplings; a quince-based version of applesauce as garnish. The recommended wine too thin for the juicy just-fatty-enough goose forequarter, the service busy and a bit off-hand; but a good meal in the courtyard of a handsome, pillared-and-columned, grand old building, and the perfect spot, an hour away from Schwechat, for relaxing into Austria. Third visit, and surely not my last.

The prices are above average, but the atmosphere and the venue gives a compensation for that. One should reserve in advance especially on weekends when the restaurant is almost full. Our waiter was maximally polite with us, explained each meal carefully. The gratis starters were nice (olives, bread and a kind of curd cheese) and the main dishes did not disaapoint us either. We have tasted grill seafood spit and geese soup, both were extraordinary. Cod with tomato risotto, ruccola and parmesan was also excellent choice. Thank you for the awesome lunch!

Very good fish dishes. Assortment of wines (more pricey than in other restaurants). Nice surroundings. Good and fast service. Everything what is needed to eat simply, traditional austrian cuisine. There is many tables in summer garden and inside, so reservation probably is not necessary. Cost of the main course and something to drink for two persons: approx 35 eur. Generally this restaurant is worth to visit.Free car parking close to restaurant.

The inn known as âZur Dankbarkeitâ (âThe Gratitudeâ) has been a beloved classic for a long time in the Pannonian restaurant scene. It is a popular meeting place for everyone who loves delicious, down-to-earth food.
We always use tripadvisor to find the best local eateries and this one was good. The restaurant itself is pretty nice and plenty of room to move about. With other restaurants your are squeezing into tables that are too close to each other, but not here, you get to keep your personal space and enjoy it. Serving locally grown and produced food and drinks makes this a good dining experience, however I went for the roast beef that disappointed. Little. It was more like a steak rather than the thinly sliced roast beef I am used to, but it was not bad. I also had the homemade pate and the sweet wine that came with it was an excellent pairing and a fantastic taste. The wife had the duck breast which was excellent. Good selection of wine to accompany your food. No English menus available so brush up on your German although the staff do speak English.

Restaurant and winery just next to vineyards - easy access and good parking. Nice and airy interior, welcoming staff, good food (mine was a bit too salty for my taste) and drinks. My added value here is that they sell their wines right in restaurant - fair local Austrian wines with high price / quality ratio.

We had an excellent mid week lunch here. The staff were very friendly and our waiter was great. The food was excellent - a great mix of traditional Austrian and international cuisine. Beautifully presented, good portion size and most importantly delicious. As we were driving we did not sample much wine but this is also a winery. I tried both their Chardonnay and Gelber Muskateller which were well balanced aromatic wines. We purchased some to take home. We did not stay in the hotel but the overall impression from the restaurant and reception would encourage me to consider staying the night if I were to return.
