A great restaurant set in stunning scenert, forget the silver cutlery and table cloths and enjoy fresh fish caught from the lake. Brilliant food, friendly staff at ridiculously inexpensive rates

All kinds of kebaps are perfect indeed. But beware that in this reagion (and also in antalya) they use goat meat which causes diarea to the sensitive bowels.

It proved challenging to find somewhere to eat after our mid-evening arrival in Burdur but after finding one local place shutting it was suggested that we try Altay Pide & Kebap Salonu, where we received a friendly welcome.
The waiter did a most admirable job in the absence of any Turkish language skills on our part (and no english on his side)! The Burdur kebab (served on pitta with salad) we sampled was simple but good fare, followed up by a tasty and wickedly sweet dessert.

Toros Lokantasi (restaurant) is one of the most popular restaurants in Burdur, the western Mediterranean town and home to the Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. It is very popular with both students and Burdur residents because of its affordability and quality. There are a couple of indoor rooms and in nice weather a large outdoor space.
It's the place to dine with large groups of people where you can get the wonderful Burdur sis (shish), pide (like pizza), and other Turkish classic dishes.

Tavsiye ederim.

Just round the corner from the Museum and next to the Mosque, full of families and groups of men, wonderful old fashioned cafe and kebab house. Service is smiling and fast. Prices are low. Food is fresh and delicious. Try a wide range of turkish dishes or the usual grills and kebabs. Delicious dressing on the salad. Clean and efficient.

On the highway a clean restaurant to stop. Service was quick. Personal symphatic. Food was regular. Prices are higher than a luxury restaurant in the city center.
