We stayed for a couple of nights with Tony and Sandra whist exploring Wales, on boys motorcycling trip. Tony, gave us room in his garage for our bikes and some local advice where to explore, not that there’s any shortage of stunning scenery in the area. The room was excellent, fresh and comfortable and a breakfast that set us up for the day. Definitely be visiting on our next trip.

A scenic working farm, 2 miles from Builth Wells. The Meadow Suite & The Garden Room, all extras including breakfast served to your room in the morning. Ground floor rooms, own access door & patio area.
Omg I’m going to hate writing this as the more people who know the harder it will be to rebook. Glen & Nev are so wonderful and friendly and Nev wants your stay to be as wonderful as the views. We stayed in the Meadow Suite. It was beautiful, a home from home. The suite was spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable (best night sleep I’ve had in ages). The bathroom has plenty of towels and everything else you would need. The main room has plenty of storage and hanging spaces the breakfast table is made up for you there’s milk, butter, water and glass bottles with orange juice a kettle & toaster mugs honestly everything you would need. There are also 2 cafetières with fresh coffee if you prefer jams marmalade’s and the extra special touch home made cake and shortbread biscuits. To views are amazing I could get used to waking up to them every morning. So many different species of birds I sat for ages just listening an watching the kites soaring through the sky. This is my new place to stay when up visiting my family. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you Glen & Nev for a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back soon and see you all. Missing Misty to.

We combine modern and contemporary design with traditional hospitality, comfortable accommodation and great locally sourced food. The rooms have lots of little extras to ensure a memorable visit - king-sized beds, internet access, flat screen TV, dvd players, quiet refrigerators, intimate lighting and powerful showers, a selection of teas, coffee, and a carafe of sherry. We are in Cilmery, Mid Wales, a few miles from The Royal Welsh Showgrounds in Builth Wells and near Brecon Beacons with mountain walks and dark skies. The rarely visited Cambrian Mountains with mountain bikes routes, bog snokelling and fishing are close by. Here at Rhedyn we love to provide and produce excellent food either for our extensive breakfasts or an intimate and delicious evening meal. Come along - we'd love to meet you.
What a wonderful weekend!! Arrived Friday afternoon and were thoroughly looked after until leaving Sunday morning. Rae and Ciaran made us very welcome and the B&B felt like home from home. Our room was comfy and spotlessly clean. The food was fantastic. We also had the evening meal which was better than any restaurant and catered perfectly for our vegetarian friends. We never left hungry! Recommendations were made for the places to visit and would certainly suggest The Big Pit Coal Mine and the Elan Valley is spectacular. This B&B is a little gem and definitely deserves all its awards! We'll be back!

Comfortable en-suite Accommodation close to the Royal Welsh Showground. Restaurant and Bars open every day serving quality home made food, fine beers and Ales. A genuine Welcome.
My husband and I were treated to a night here by my son and his wife for my birthday. They had been before and were so impressed with the delicious Thai food and warm welcome, they wanted us to enjoy the ambience. It was everything they said and more. All the hardworking staff were lovely. Room delightful and spotless. The owners are lovely and provide delicious and very different evening meals and first class full welsh breakfast. Thank you.

**This place is temporarily closed** Historic hotel overlooking the River Wye. Ideal base for visiting the Elan Valley Dams & Reservoirs, Rhayader, Brecon Catherdral & market town, Brecon Beacons National Park. Beautiful drives as far as the scenic west coast through the Cambrian Mountains. 5 minutes walking distance from the RWAS Showgrounds for all year round events. Wye Valley Walk just across the road through the impressive Groe Park up to and beyond the twisting rapids at Pend-dol Rocks
This is a characterful hotel in a beautiful location with very friendly and hard-working owners. They greet you early in the morning with a friendly smile and a delicious breakfast and will still be working hard serving you a nice drink in the evening; still with the friendly smile. The room we had overlooking the river is large and comfortable. Dinner in the evening is hearty, reasonably priced and cosy (especially with the log burner going!) Prices seem to be a bit lower if you book direct (something we realised after ??♂️)

Stayed in early June. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was ok and made from prepared dishes - fish cakes and steak pie, mushrooms on ciabatta with fish pie - reheated for serving. The public areas and bedrooms were clean. The bins in our bedroom were dirty with trash underneath one of the bin liners. The dining/breakfast room smelled of cooking fat from the car very. The kitchen had uncovered milk in the fridge.

Quirky location on the Royal Welsh Showground with stunning surrounding countryside. We had a good sized family room which was spotlessly clean and had immaculate white linen. A traditional hearty British breakfast was on offer, to complement a range of cereals , fruit juices etc.. This friendly, welcoming hotel represents really good value for money

The Firs is an end of terrace cottage, it's old and warm. It not suitable for those people whom may have mobility difficulties due to steep steps and stairs. I can do a simple cold buffet breakfast, you may like to bring breakfast/ food with you and cook (as use of cooker, etc). The Firs is about 10 minute walk to the Royal Welsh show ground and about half an hour drive to Hay on Wye and 3/4 hour
Loved this place, very quirky but in a good way, very comfortable, excellent sleep with everything you needed (apart from ice ?) couldn't fault it at a very reasonable price. Tom the host was very pleasant and accommodating, Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
