A classy and relaxed restaurant in a classic 19th-century house, facing the beautiful Koningin Astrid Park. Family owned since 1989. Old fashioned Belgian cuisine - light jazzy background music. Menu formula´s only. ( No " à la carte") Booking advised through restaurants´website. Bon appetit !
I was in Bruges with my father and partner for my birthday weekend. I booked a table for my birthday dinner on the Friday night.
We arrived at 7pm and were met by Axel and his wonderful team. We had a lovely corner table in the elegant dining room and were very well looked after,
The 4 course set menu with accompanying wines (or beers) is compulsory at weekends. There are 3 or 4 choices for each course - check out their website for the details.
We were first served a glass of pink sparkling wine and an amuse bouche of smoked salmon - delicious.
With each course we were served a glass of selected wine, although you could chose if you preferred red or white. I was served a chardonnay with my scallop starter and was a little perturbed, as I don't normally like chardonnay - at all! However, I was reassured by the server that the wine was delicious, and it was actually delicious!
I now know a chardonnay that I can drink (I made sure to note the name!)
Wine glasses were topped up as we ate, so we certainly got more than one glass per
course. The staff were lovely and very helpful, and Axel was charming - a very attentive host in the nicest way. He made sure everyone in the restaurant was well looked after. There were several people celebrating with a special meal.
As it was my birthday they served a little trio of tarts (one each) with a candle for me to blow out - a lovely touch.
The food and wine was all top quality, and the service impeccable. Next time we are in Bruges we will definitely be back.
Thank you Axel and the team.

I came early, and alone, without a reservation. The proprietors' child was sitting on the stairs. Despite it being (apparently) a two person operation, I was treated to both exquisite food and service. Both the entre and the plat (main course) were generously sized (more than I could eat), but delicious. The fish (cabillaud / cod) was moist and perfectly cooked. I should not omit mention of the multiple amuse bouche before, including fresh radishes and a bowl of winkles!
This is off the tourist trail, and well worth visiting. If you are in a giant hurry, maybe not, it's a place worth savouring.

The OLIVE TREE Restaurant brings together the warm tradition of Greek hospitality with delicious Greek-Mediterranean Cuisine, updated with a contemporary twist. You will find the marrying of flavor and aroma, the crisp tang of traditional seasonings, and the freshest ingredients drawn from the land and the sea. Feel the warmth of the people in their welcoming smiles and the charm of the Mediterranean in its High energy and lively spirit. Our menu gives you a wide choice of Greek recipes with meat, fish, vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free or vegan.
This establishment is across the road from the bell tower, which post-In Bruges, is the centre of the town's tourist industry. Against all the odds, this is a personable restuarant, reasonably priced by the standards of the area, serving good quality greek food in a nice atmosphere. Taramsalata and fried squid, plus a good greek white wine (!)...great.

My boyfriend and I were searching for a restaurant in Bruges on a Monday night and found a lot of venues closed.
After going through higher rated restaurants on Trip Advisor we found Resto Mojo which had very good reviews.
Although a Monday we called and booked a table for dinner which I would recommend as the main restaurant was quite busy.
Resto Mojo has tables inside and out. The outside area is covered and situated in a marquee with heaters so is pleasant to sit outside.
Service was friendly and relaxed; I wouldn't say this is the quickest service but, as we were on holiday it is relaxed and prompt when needed.
We ordered a main only and the main dishes are very large and steaks etc all come with a large salad and fries. My boyfriend had the kangaroo steak which I would definitely recommend (I would also order a sauce).
Before our main we were served an amuse bouche of smoked salmon and pea soup with bread which was lovely.
Definitely a recommended restaurant.

We propose a fine seasonal Flemish / French cuisine by Chef Gregory Slembnrouck whose inspiration is lead by high quality, fresh market produce. His second home is certainly his stove, where he spends most of his time there creating and working his culinary magic to obtain the perfect gourmet statement for each guest that is both royal in presentation and abundant in taste. Each plate offered at Le Mystique is proof of Chef Gregory's refined culinary expertise, which showcases not only his extraordinary love for food, but as a master of his craft he is constantly preoccupied with balancing his inspiration for new presentations, his flow of creativity, and his incessant quest for continuous quality. You can fully enjoy this exquisite cuisine in a perfect balance between cost and quality, in the unique historic room in the hotel dating back to 1869 by choosing for one of our original menus 'Flavours of the region', or simply by ordering your favourite dishes à la carte.
Situated within the Heritage hotel, this is a ridiculously romantic dining room. Period furnishings and chadeliers of the baroque period/style. Excellent service- discreet yet very attentive. The food was wonderful. High end French cooking but with an International reach in terms of ingredients and dishes available. Quality fresh ingredients presented extremely well on plate. Top end pricing but this is a quality and memorable dining experience.

This is our 4th visit here . We try to visit Bruges every year & always book Pro deo. Nathalie always welcomes us and remembers our names! Considering it’s only once a year we think that’s really amazing. The food is excellent & menu not too vast. We do go to other restaurants as well but this little gem is the best . We found that the main course is very filling & we don’t always have a starter! Flemish stew is always a winner , but we have tried many other dishes ...all excellent. Hats off to Kristophe & Nathalie

A friendly, privately run restaurant, close to the centre of Bruges. Specialising in a volonte (all you can eat) spare ribs which can be ordered succulently slow-cooked or tradional barbequed for that extra bite! Other specialities on our menu include fajitas, as well as excellent T-Bone and Rib-eye steaks. All this can be washed down with some of the regions finest beers.
We decided to give this a try on a Wednesday night thinking it would be quiet - how wrong - we turned up just before 8pm to find all tables either occupied or reserved (genuinely reserved we saw people take their tables) but the young manager offered as a tablewith bar stools we accpeted and about twenty minutes later were offered a conventional table after the manager spent some minutes re-jigging the table plan.
I had the all you can eat ribs - meaty and delicious and this is a genuine "all you can eat" they come round and ask if you want more, you don't have to chase them - neiother do you have to clear your plat first. My partner has a very large "slap" of grilled salmon.
There is a reason why this place is busy on a wet Wednesday in March - it represents excellent value, good food is served in large quantities, teh staff are polite helpful and hard working.

This meal was not only fantastic, so was the service. Our waiter was so attentive and helpful throughout our meal. I am vegetarian and my husband is gluten free, we had no problems with the set menu and the chef was over accommodating. Perfect for...MoreHello, Thanks a lot for your beautifull review. This is a great bar for beer lovers, with several draught beers, explained well on the menus hanging from the ceiling. Unfortunately most people didn't seem to realise that through the red door is the most fantastic Terrace, complete with heaters. Even the snow couldn't stop our enjoyment of being out there! well worth a visit, to probably one of the most photographed terraces in Bruges.
