Great place for a short stay
Reviewed By Sobia PViews from the room are great ! 180 degrees into the fields and mount . It's inside cemoro lawang which means u got to pay the villge tax. But outside bromo national park so u don't need to pay the park fee on check in. Walking distance to national park and shops and restaurants. The guy ronny helped us decide for the train. The owner, mr samanay took us to probolingo statiom in a reasonable price . Toiletries- take your own. Hot water is there but no hair dryer . Bed sheets blankets room and towels were clean . We stayed very comfortably for one night.

Reviewed By annichou22We booked a night at the Gunung Bromo Guesthouse and arrived there around 3pm. At the gate of the national park, we were told that the guesthouse was inside the national park and that to stay there we had to pay the entrance fee of IDR 317.500, - per person (foreigner fee + bank holiday surcharge). This was not mentioned anywhere (I checked twice once I had access to wifi and it was not mentioned on their booking.com page or in their welcome email I received). We are on a tight budget and weren't going to pay the entrance fee and wanted to just watch the sunrise from a distance. When we asked the boy at reception how we were supposed to know about the entrance fee, he said it was mentioned in the welcome email. But after I showed it to him, he admitted that they changed it and the information was not included in the email at the time of my booking, as the park was not yet open to visitors. But this is ridiculous as I don't need information about the date of the booking, I need information about the date of my stay. We also waited in the lobby for an hour because our room was not ready. (We were able to move in just after 4pm even though check-in was at 2pm). After a phone call with a very unfriendly manager, they agreed to a 50% discount because of the late check-in and the lack of information about the extra entrance fee. However, they forced us to cancel the booking on booking.com to get the discount, most likely so that we could not give them a bad review. We agreed to the discount, but when the guy took us to our room, he told us in a very mean and spiteful way that we would not get breakfast, which is not what we had agreed to! But at that point, we were done arguing and just wanted to make the most of our stay. Their treatment of guests and handling of complaints was very unprofessional and rude, especially, as it was obviously their fault and misconduct.

Only good for the view
Reviewed By FionaChanHot water power very weak that u would shower asap thinking there would be no water in any minute. Too dim in the room even with all lights on. Bed n blankets were warm enuf. Only one super small table in the room. All things put to the floor. Nowhere to hook ur clothes inside the bathroom n in the room. Very nice view of the Savanna n Mount Bromo n Mount Batok. Breakfast tasted OK just that they r cold except the soup n hot coffee. Many cats around.

Reviewed By Rene FUnfortunately iwas the only accommodation available at that time for us at Bromo NP. I would rather sleep outside on the lawn before booking this homestay again. Dirty bathroom, no sink. Every else also very basic...and the cleanness?!?!?! The only upside was the location.

Reviewed By Audrey DThis place was disgusting, I refused to stay as the beds were so dirty, I booked a dormitory as I was on my own and there was nobody sharing the room. Every bed was filthy. I paid to get out of there. They were very helpful when I decided to stay somewhere else and sorted it for me. I can only speak for the dormitory room.

Reviewed By AleksandraLPHotel Tengger Indah??! Is it supposed to be a hotel?? It’s a den with cold water in the shower, without a washbasin (so how to brush my teeth?? We spit on the floor). It is very cold here because it is about 2000 meters above sea level but there is no heater. I take a cold shower and go to bed which isn’t clean. And it stinks!! We stay here as part of a package tour but we're very disappointed with the whole package. The room is very basic and breakfast is also very basic given in a carton box. They don't even serve coffee or tea! And the staff is rude. Awful! Horrible! Disgusting! Stay away from this place!

Reviewed By Ursula HDurch offene Fenster zimmer zugig, ungemütlich und kalt (keine Ahnung warum man in einem Bergdorf mit kalten Nächten die Fenster nicht komplett verschließt). Bad ohne Waschbecken, dusche aufgrund der niedrigen Höhe (durch unnütze eingebaute stufe ) nicht benutzbar. Kein Frühstück, keine Heizung, keinerlei Annehmlichkeiten. Bett bequem und 2 decken vorhanden. zur Übernachtung für bromotour ok, aber nur mit wärmendem Partner!
