Ate here in the pub attached to the hotel on Sunday, probably the best burger I have had for a while. The service however did not match the food. The staff were friendly but the service was slow and inept. We waited too long to order and receive our drinks and food. Only called in for a pint, but the place looked so inviting and the food being delivered to the other tables looked SOOOO delicious that we had to stay for a proper meal!I opted for the lamb shank whilst my colleague plumped for the topside of beef!Both ended up being great choices.Not only did the Bold Forester get top marks for the food and the ale, but the bar and waiting staff were also BRILLIANT! Really helpful and friendly!Will we come here again? I reckon so!Well done Bold Forester

We always go here when we visit friends in Southampton. The always put on a delicious Sunday roast and have chilled live music to go along with it. They have a great range of beers too!
