Had a reason to be in the area and made a reservation. Had heard from friends that it was worth a visit. Sat outside, our group of four were very impressed and our server Kat did an excellent job. Started with the fresh oysters, finished with cappuccino. Everything in between was great. Thank you for your 5 bubble rating and review, happy to hear we made a first impression and look forward for the opportunity in serving you again soon.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting something better. I ordered the calamari entree. It was a cold, a small portion on the top of an old, yellow-brown lettuce pile. Just Ok,

Been here a few times. Nice local spot on the Fraser River. Food usually good. Service good, friendly and accommodating. Good selection of beers on tap and wine list. Food is usually gresh with good variety for all tastes. The salmon burger is delicious and I highly recommend it. One of us had beef burger which also was good. No yam fries available. I had a warm seafood salad and was disappointed. Was $27 but fish portions were small and vinaigrette dressing was average, lacking taste and freshness. Felt it was pre-prepared and not freshly made. Will still go back

Situated in the heart of the largest fishing fleet in Canada in the historic fishing village of Steveston. Serving the freshest seafood in town this is Seafood dining at its finest. Consistently voted as Richmond's #1 Seafood restaurant, the Steveston Sea
Someone local recommended a couple of other Steveston restaurants but we decided to eat at this one based on the positive tripadvisor reviews. Big mistake. I use tripadvisor for all of my restaurant and hotel selections. It has never let me down. However, this time our experience was not consistent with the reviews. To start with the restaurant was empty on a Friday night (not a good sign). There was a bad odor in the restaurant (another bad sign). There were a couple of minor mix ups with our orders, but the service was not bad. Food came quickly. We couldn't finish eating the shrimp appetizer because it was unappetizing. The steak was decent. It came cooked medium, not medium rare, but still okay. The irony was not lost on us that the steak was the only thing worth ordering at the "seafood house". The halibut was dry and fishy smelling - barely edible. If we weren't in a hurry I would have sent it back. How do you dry out halibut one of the oiliest of fish? Prices were too high for what we experienced. We were all disappointed.
