Osoyoos (/ɒˈsuːjuːs/, historically /ˈsuːjuːs/) is the southern-most town in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia between Penticton and Omak. Near the border with Washington state, the town is also adjacent to the Indian Reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band. The origin of the name Osoyoos was the word sẁiẁs (pronounced "soo-yoos") meaning "narrowing of the waters" in the local Okanagan language (Syilx'tsn). The "O-" prefix is not indigenous in origin and was attached by settler-promoters wanting to harmonize the name with other place names beginning with O in the Okanagan Country (Oliver, Omak, Oroville, Okanogan). There is one local newspaper, the Osoyoos Times.

Come and experience authentic and delicious Mexican food!
I picked up dinner from here the other night and it was so good and so filling. We will be eating quite often I think. We both love Mexican food and this is the best I have tasted in a long time.

Made a reservation to see Taylor James at the Cantina.Seated and served drinks. Drink prices are very steep. $7.50 for Beer and $10 for Margarita and mixed drinks. Mixed drinks were served in a small plastic cup, not worth close to $10 at all.Burger was ok for $15. Quesadilla was served with no sour cream or salsa??Music was excellent as well as sitting 10 ft from the water.I donât mind paying a bit for good entertainment but I doubt I would go there on a regular night.
Sofia's is a seasonal food trailer serving excellent, delicious Mexican cuisine!!
Dropped by for take-away burritos the other night and received a dinner packet with each burrito, homemade tortilla chips, salsa, guacamole, and dipping sauces. Awesome!. Sofia's outdid themselves with the presentation and freshness of the ingredients. And it was the best burrito dinner I have had in years! You can stay and eat at their picnic tables if you prefer. I know I will be back...
Authentic Mexican Restaurant in a beautiful setting.
Just heard about this new place. Simple menu with good prices. on't expect huge servings. The food was prepared and presented really nicely. The prices are very fair and the service was friendly, helpul, and attentive. The decor is really nice too with colourfu walls and accents. Simple and nicely done. This little place certainly merits return trips.
