At The Sporty we are committed to providing you with the best the Island has to offer. With a family dining area, pub seating, a fantastic new local cedar patio, game room and full dining section overlooking Hardy Bay, there is certainly something for eve
We ate here one evening while staying outside Port Hardy. The place was very busy and pretty noisy but we were seated pretty quickly. My wife had a steak sandwich and I had a pizza with a beer. The pizza was a little burned so just OK and my wife's sandwich was good. We split some ice cream for dessert. Our bill came to about $53 w/o tip and the service was very good. There are fairly limited choices in Port Hardy and I would give the place another shot if I was in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail both in the presentation and service in the pub. The art work in the foyer and the gift store is amazing and worthy of a visit to any one exploring the area. Our server Sebrina was lovely and the Hunter's platter which included an assortment of cheeses, duck, elk sausage, and bluberry compote wasthe best we have tasted anywhere! So was the Halibut chowder! We are looking forrward to returning and trying other offerings next visit.

Our tour bus of 54 passengers stopped for lunch on a Sunday at this particular A&W situated in the proximity of a mall that was closed. The staff had a hard time taking so many orders from the tour group along with other travellers. What was particularly annoying was that they only had one bathroom in working order and needless to say there were many diners scattering in search of loos elsewhere. The food is pretty standard as expected.
