Always interested in trying that next restaurant, where the food, value and atmosphere harmonize and deliver a good experience. Sometimes it is in the luck of the draw when doing so.This was Royal ! Chef and owner Mahesh Kuniyal delivers in spades on all fronts, and brings authentic flavors of India to his extensive menu. Everything we ordered was first rate. The Raita ( yogurt ) side to accompany the main dishes is some of the best this reviewer has had, infused with cucumber, carrots and mild spice. The restaurant atmosphere is warm, clean and colorful., and busy on the Friday night we visited. Service is prompt, welcoming, friendly and polite. Our main server Jess was delightful.Located in Sardis across from Tim Horton's and beside the Townhall Public House on Vedder Road.My first impression has left me looking to return again and soon.Very well done .

I've been to this place a handful of times and it does have its issues- the hours are a little odd, staff isn't always incredibly friendly (but I've never found them to be outright rude), at the atmosphere is definitely lacking, but it comes through in the ways that are most important to me and that is that the food is good and affordable. You can get a good sized meal for two for less than $30 easily and it has always been really tasty. Especially when the only other Indian food place in Chilliwack (that I know of) is Shandhar Hut which I find to be overpriced. This is my go to place for Indian food.
