Beware of the Sunday brunch at this establishment, i recently visited on Sunday August 4th at 1pm and i should have just ordered a hamburger. This is NOT a breakfast place, I know , I know, i was warned by others. The menu is small and the food was "cold" not like warm but "COLD" we sent back two meals and it was a gong show. The server was non helpful and there was not a manager to be seen anywhere. The eggs benny was gross anf the breakfast tacos were the worse thing i have ever tasted. I will not be visiting this resataurant anytime in the near future. My advice to all who enters this restaurant is stick to burgers and simple food, this is all this place is good for on a good day.We are sorry to hear about your recent brunch experience at Original Joe's. Please contact us at [email protected], reference number 8254159. We would like to discuss your experience with you further.

Having written numerous tripadvisor reviews in North and South America, it was fun to finally prepare one right here at home in Kamloops. In celebration of our anniversary, we had heard great things about Atlas Steak and Fish at the Cascades Casino. Our initial impressions were welcoming. We were greeted with an unsolicited Happy Anniversary by our hostess who directed us to our table in a more private corner by the excellent piano player. Our server, Sean was immediately attentive and informative. I was pleased that he recommended a different wine then the one I inquired about. The Argentinian Malbec paired very well with dinner.Piping hot rolls served with a blue cheese butter really piqued our interest in the menu. As far as the meal, I rated each item with a letter grade for brevity's sake:- The charcuterie plate: A++ Items on the menu are pricey but this was outstanding in both quality and quantity. A variety of cheeses, fiambres, olives, etc would rival any such opening plates at other international level restaurants I have eaten at.- She had the mushroom risotto: B Generous portions. A bit gummy and needed a bit more distinct mushroom flavor.I went with the Cioppino: A- Dungeness Crab, Mussels, Fish and a lonely prawn in broth. Overall very flavorful. Generous with the fresh crab but for the price would it hurt to throw in another prawn? haha. The pesto cracker clashed with the tasty broth. As a side order I went with the Tempura Soft Shell Crab: FThis was beyond disappointing. Basically it was some kind of doughy concoction that seemed like the worst boxed fish product one would get in a supermarket freezer. Tempura is normally a light batter and this product was the consistency of a doughnut with a flavorless filling. Advertised as a steak and fish specialty restaurant, I would definitely suggest taking the soft shell item off the menu.Overall, we would definitely consider returning to Atlas. After our initial experience, one would have to dipsy doodle around the menu a bit. A very romantic touch was the piano player unknowingly keyboarding our wedding song. Thank you Sean as well for the complimentary champagne to top off a lovely evening.Total bill with generous tips for server and piano player $220.Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Atlas Steak + Fish, Kamloops. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your service with Shaun and our pianist, Daniel Heslop. We are sorry to hear that your meal was less than perfect, we have passed your feedback along to our culinary team and they will use it to coach and guide our staff.
