In the timey Bulkley Valley village of Burns Lake, we were happy to fight anything to eat. So we headed for the Chinese restaurant just across the street and found pretty good food, not so different from what we would have in Toronto. The fried rice was good and the vegetables were crisp. Only problem, they did not let us forget that they were about to close.

Come enjoy a delightful creation at Dragon Palace Restaurant. They are open nightly Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and throughout week-ends. You can get there by car and can have your dish conveniently delivered at home.
We stopped in for lunch. The special looked interesting, but like way too much food. We each got chow mein (one chicken, one pork). Granted, not the most adventurous dish to order, but it was fairly plain and in need of some zip. Plenty of it, though!

I have driven past his place for years, so i thought i'd try it for supper. It has an unpromising exterior but i found the inside quie neat. Also, a very neat washroom. Prompt, friendly service. I had liver & onions & coffee. Well made. Total, with tax, $12.60.I will return.
