Actually, for a number of years we continue to enjoy Saltyâs. This location is most convenient for us, but we also visited other ones. There must be magic in the special batter, and the tarter sauce they use. Never, have we had a bad piece of fish, nor a complaint with service. Excellent!

We spent our anniversary evening at the Scott Road Keg as we have for the last couple of years. We frequent this location at least 3-4 times per month. I've visited most of the Keg locations in Canada and for my money this is the best of them all. This is a well-managed restaurant. The staff here is excellent and are always sincerely happy you visited. Food is top notch and a really good value. It's not cheap but compared to other chains you get really good value on a great steak and sides.Like any place they do make the occasional mistake. What sets them apart is their eagerness to fix any issues and ensure that keep wanting to come back. I highly recommend visiting this location.

I enjoyed the visit to the Fat cow, good beer choice, stylish interior, good service and fine food. This is a professionally run restaurant and the servers are excellent. Our beverage cup never ran dry and we ate every last morsel. This industrial area location is a surprise and well worth making the trip. I can't really think of anything in the area that compares. I highly recommend.

We Went as a couple to retry this place. Back in the early 2000's and early 2010 period, we used to go here. Used to be a regular here. Unfortunately, we have had three unpleasant experiences here the last three times, and will unlikely return. All restaurants have accidents, mistakes, or undercooked or overcooked meals from time to time, but how the staff handles these events makes all the difference. On this occasion, my wife received the Schnitzel she ordered. It was a boring looking plating of unexciting food, however this time, the Schnitzel was dried out and overcooked, as well as it was poorly spiced ( very bland ). My wife signaled over the waiter to request gravy to add some moisture to the meat, as well as some flavor. Apparantly the waiter was the son of the owner, and rather than try to fix our problem, he claimed they have no gravy and no one else has complained about the meats that evening. He offered to take away the meal and add some demi-glaze to it, but it would be $7 upcharge for the demi-glaze. We refused to pay the upcharge citing that it was not our fault the meat was seriously dried out and over-cooked. So the waiter just walked away. Then the owner came over to ask how things were, we explained my wife's meal issues and how the waiter did not try to assist us properly. She again made some excuses. When we got the bill we had a free desert offered to us. But my wife did not finish her meal out of dissatisfaction of what she got and how she was treated ... and certainly was not interested in a discounted desert at that time. Also ... they seem very full of snooty attitude there ... we believe they think they are better than they actually are. This place really went downhill ... don't even bother to try it.Three strikes .. this one is out for us.

We first visited this restaurant when we were visiting New West, in 2015. Now we live here so time for a return visit. The décor is bright, clean and cheerful but nothing above typical chain restaurant décor or atmosphere. The menu has been expanded since our last visit so more options. Our server was friendly and efficient, a genuinely nice person. Even though, there were more options, we all felt we should have fish and chips....halibut for two diners, cod for me. The young person always has chicken fingers. She was favourably impressed and she is a connoisseur of chicken fingers! My cod was far far superior to the much pricier halibut offers. I've had better fish and chips in land locked Ontario. The halibut was overcooked and lacking in flavour. Good fries, though, and ample servings. The coleslaw was excellent; the roll and butter, a complete waste of calories. Overall, this is a reliable place. I can't wait to go back....in four years or so.

Located in the Crescent Beach area. Open 7 days a week 11 to 11
great location, view, very cold inside and service so, so. Clam chowder bowl pricey but good quality. Fish and chips my partner enjoyed. The taco special was anything but, slippery, sloppy, way to sauced and hot spiced with what I thought may have been a cayenne instead of paprika sprinkled on fish mistake. At 3 hours later still experiencing a burned mouth.

Enjoyed a healthy and nourishing lunch at the Cabin in September. Arrived around 12:30, on a Sunday and without a reservation. No lineup or wait.Good selection of food items and easy to select vegetarian menu items. We enjoyed two of their signature salads. The CABIN SALAD full of leafy greens with dried cranberries, cucumber, bell peppers, feta, candied almonds and orange cumin vinaigrette, was very tasty especially the dressing. The SUPER SALAD full of leafy greens, kale, organic quinoa, avocado, chick peas, dried cranberries, bell peppers, almonds and feta cheese with an Okanagan apple cider vinaigrette. Fine service, polite and helpful. Atmosphere and decor- retro vintage. Cold in the restaurant on the afternoon we were visiting. But an enjoyable meal.

Went to this restaurant to celebrate my son's 40th birthday and was disappointed. Either they are still having growing pains or they just dont have a game to match their price. We love good food and are very prepared to pay good dollars for exceptional food and service and we found neither here. Cole the waiter tried very hard but very new. No problem with that because we all have to learn our craft. The problem is, because of a variety of shortfalls in service, they really should have had someone still shadowing him, so he would know how to react to the shortfalls from the kitchen. None of the food was hot! OK, I know, I should have gotten the manager involved but Im not going to make a scene to spoil someone elses special day. At this point Im not planning a return anytime soon.Hello filtermann, thank you for taking the time to share. We would be interested in learning more about your experience and hopefully getting the opportunity to have you join us again. Please reach out to us at [email protected]
