Reviews on Canadian food in Lake Country, British Columbia, Canada. Lake Country is a district municipality with a population of approximately 13,000 in the Okanagan Valley region of British Columbia, Canada. It is a part of the Central Okanagan Regional District, and of the Kelowna metropolitan area. The city of Kelowna lies to the south, while the city of Vernon lies to the north. As its name suggests, there are a number of lakes in the vicinity of Lake Country, and outside the municipal boundaries in the hills to the east. Okanagan Lake defines the western boundary of the municipality, while the entirety of Wood Lake and the southernmost portion of Kalamalka Lake are encompassed by it.

Family owned authentic Neapolitan wood fire pizza in Oyama, BC. Pizza is made from locally sourced ingredients and Imports from Italy.
Love this little restaurant. Food is locally sourced, very fresh, and delicious. Best meatballs Iâve ever tasted. I loved being able to watch the chefs prepare the pizza. I would suggest making a reservation as they are very busy. The only downfall was the inside of the restaurant was very loud and very very warm. They have fans but they didnât seem to help much. We asked for the window behind us to be opened but the waitress said she was unable to. Will definitely be back again!

Plant based bakery/cafe offering breakfast and lunch options. Cakes available to be ordered with weeks notice
Amazed to find this eatery out in okanagan centre. Service and food were excellent! We enjoyed the breakfast burrito, rainbow salad, and special of the day was breakfast burger with house hollandaise. Worth the drive and great for a couples brunch. Coffee and chai tea were delicious as well. Location is clean and inviting and while this was a first visit I would recommend. Posted some photos

Unbelievably atrocious customer service. I will not give this establishment any business after what has occurred due to complete lack of inattentiveness, respect for a customer, etc... A business that wishes to prosper should want to make sure customers come to your establishment--not drive them away as is the case with my incident with Turtle Bay Pub. I was trying to obtain a gift certificate in a large sum to this establishment for a gift and was in contact with Turner and Ginger--for over 2 weeks I was told the gift certificate could be accommodated. A kink had to be worked out with their system and they would get back to me. For 2 weeks the only person doing any of the calling was from my end to them and each time I was assured it would get worked out. My final call today to them resulted in speaking with Ginger. In a completely stand off way, like she ahd no idea who I was nor had never been in contact with Turtle Bay Pub about this request before, she said, as she was laughing- laughing!, that this was not going to happen, as in it never would have happened ever! I was completely dumbfounded. It was like speaking with Jekyll and Hyde from the other conversations I had had with this establishment. I was in the midst of conveying to her that it would have been respectful to say on the other countless phone calls and waiting over the past two weeks was that 'I am sorry we can't accommodate your request' but she had already hung up laughing! I see this place as only a 3 star rating--now I see firsthand why....

Just outside Kelowna, BC they serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Everything is fresh baked and the jam--homemade. Gift shop attached toto the t
Although the food was good the service was terrible. After waiting 45 minutes for a table - which was to be expected on the day we went- we then waited another 30 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order and wanted our food order at the same time. If you have any questions about the menu there was no chance to ask. The waitress we had only had our table and one larger table to service so it should not have taken that long to at least take our drink order as soon as we sat down.

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! Thanks for your support, see you next season!
It was spontaneous. We saw it on Google Maps so decided to check another winery after the sensation that was Gray Monk. We locked in another location and turned righâwhoa. That is not a winery. Thatâs a mistake; itâs actually a left and up the road. Ten months later, we visited the same winery and found the same strange bug on our navigator. But donât worry, itâs not you. Blind Tiger does exist, although they may not see you. GET IT! The name refers to the false fronts used in prohibition days. Original. And there is also a dog. Heâs not blind, but he doesnât really care for anyone that enters. Blind Tiger is another small winery, though (Iâm not sure itâs estate) where the owners live around the corner, and more often than not, youâre talking to the winemakers directly at some point during your visit. The tasting room is minuscule, but Iâve never felt crowded in there. On both visits, their wood fire pizza truck on site was closed, depressing. The view from the hill was spectacularâ¦it must be a requirement. One is not allowed to open a winery without an amazing view. Maybe thereâs a review, like a Rotten Tomato score for outlooks. In this case, Blind Tigerâs is certified fresh. As for the wineâs, they cover a broad spectrum from Chards and Gews (Iâm totally using that from now on) to Pinots and their signature Speakeasy Red. Being the weirdo like I am, I bought their âHush Upâ Blush, a fantastic rose. It was one of the 120 bottles we acquired from 60 wineries visited over a one week period, taking us from Osoyoos to Kelowna. Blind Tiger must have made an impression given it was on a short list of wineries to revisit on the second trip. Blind Tiger may not boast the viticulture monuments of nearby Grey Owl or Arrowleaf. They are modest, almost inconspicuous, and worth our two visits, as well as yours.Oh, and it may not be an important factor, but obviously itâs worth mentioning that on said second visit, there was an incubator filled with adorable baby chickens. I do mean adorable. And did I mention they were baby chickens?
Truly one of Canadaâs exemplary destination wineries set in the heart of Okanagan Wine Country. 50th Parallel Estate is a majestic 61 acre site near the shores of Lake Okanagan boasting panoramic lake views and rare granite soils. Winemakers Matthew Fortu
The wine, the food, and the service, at Block One are without equal in the Okanagan. My halibut was grilled perfectly; the texture was incredibly delicate, and the taste was clean and flavourful. Generally, I pair halibut with Pinot Noir, however, our guests ordered a bottle of Riesling for the table. The aromatic dryness of the Riesling enhanced the flavour of the halibut to a degree, that henceforth, Riesling will become my pairing of choice. The service is excellent. At the tasting station, Travis has a vast knowledge of wines that not surprisingly has been honed from years working same; even in the restaurant, a newbie like Ally comports herself with a cheerful professionalism.Sent from my iPhone

With 35 years in the same location this local dive is worth the stop! The atmosphere may not be up to par with classier places but this breakfast/lunch diner is filled with homemade comfort. In-house baked sourdough bread made our sandwiches scrumptious. The fries and gravy are delish and the service is personable and welcoming. This will be somewhere we visit again!

O'Rourke's Peak Cellars is Lake Countryâs newest winery and culinary destination to experience. The winery is located on a picturesque property with panoramic views of surrounding orchards, vineyards, rolling mountains and Okanagan Lake. Talented winemake
Had an excellent time at O Rourke's Winery last week. My sister recommended we come by for the happy hour and enjoy the Lobster Pizza and Wine special. With every pizza you purchase during happy hour you get a bottle of wine. Our table of four ladies sipped slowly on Fielding Block 26 and Rosé while enjoying 3 Neapolitan style pizzas on the patio that had fine mists of water to cool us from the warm Okanagan sun. We were later serenaded by a musician who sang soft favourites with the vineyard as his background stage and the sun sinking into the lake in the near distance. Our server Kenny, was incredibly personable and patient with our wine giddy table and let us linger and laugh our happy hour and beyond away . The menu has great variety and the food is beautifully presented with some really nice culinary creations such as the local coconut yogurt dressing on the Beet Salad and a delicious Brownie with locally made Skor style chocolate crumbles and gelato. I saw a gorgeous Tomato Toast with a Burrata style cheese pass by and I will have to try that next time. All in all from the tasting room to the Garden Bistro table, the friendly service and the stunning natural ambience this was a wonderful experience that I could highly recommend to try. Thanks Marina for the wonderful review. Glad you enjoyed happy hour and our music night. We look forward to seeing you again.
