We ate lunch in May 2019 the restaurant was very busy. we were seated by the Waitress. We ordered our dinner and the meal was delivered hot very quickly.. the food was fresh and hot. We enjoyed lunch in this peaceful location

Stopped on our way to the US. The number one is like a breakfast skillet which I love. I was excited to see it on the menu and it was very good. Plenty of my favorite and tasty. The homemade jam was great. My husband loved the truckers breakfast - fluffy pancakes!! The owner is charming.

Absolutely loved this place. The sports memorabilia is some of the best and as fans of hockey night in Canada, Don Cherry's was a required stop. The food was fabulous, with a great menu and a lot of adult beverages to enjoy. You won't be disappointed.

Rather than phone,I visited the restaurant and placed my takeout order in person. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. Ordered the Lasagna and Caesar Salad. Both were good when I got them home for a quick supper with no dishes. Lasagna also comes with a roll.We're glad to hear your enjoyed your take-out order with us! We hope to see you back again soon. We decided to go out for breakfast and chose the Cottage because we hadn't been here for breakfast before. My wife has had lunch here many times and new the food was good.I had the breakfast sandwich which had egg, bacon and cheddar cheese on it. Toasted on their bread that they make in house. Nice thick bread. The sandwich was excellent and would have fed us both. My wife had the bacon and eggs which also came with hash browns and a slice of toast, again with their bread. Again it was very good. Prices were very decent and service very good. I believe it is open for breakfast and lunch and closes later in the afternoon.This is a nice small, local restaurant. Located a couple of blocks off Highway 3 on 9th avenue. If you are east bound on Highway 3 turn right at the first traffic light on the way into town. This puts you on 9th Ave so just proceed straight through the first light and you will fine the Cottage on the right about half way down this block.It was very good as expected and we will go back again.

We visited Cranbrook for a golf tournament and visited Soul Food twice for breakfast. The food was wholesome and delicious. With a variety of Gluten Free and vegetarian options, everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The meat eaters in our group were also happy with their choices. Everything served was locally sourced and organic. They make their win preserves and hand. We Highly recommend this restaurantThank you kindly!!

Down to earth and casual restaurant. The menu is full of very tempting ideas for the palate. However there seems to be a disconnect with the presentations and plating of some of the meals.I have explained this to the servers but if the information gets back to the kitchen I have no idea. Flavours that make the meal interesting are not just there. Some times been buried at the bottom of every thing. The cooking of the meals as well as presentations I have no problem with. It is the build up or anticipation that takes the knock. I am in every month so vary my order so as to try as many items on the menu.As for the sticky toffee pud , that is winner but now they have stopped pitting the cream sachets in my to go. Perryâs is one of those ânot to be missedâ places when youâre in Cranbrook. Although we were in town for a one night visit, Perry greeted us and treated us like long lost family. The food and drinks were awesome, prices were fair and the atmosphere is friendly and happy. We will definitely stop here again on our next visit. Thanks so much for that great 5-star review for fellow travellers! We look forward to serving you again the next time you're in town.

service was superb. food was good. atmosphere loud. Was surprised by a partron coming in and being seated with a dog that was not wearing any service dog i.d. Good afternoon and thank you for your recent visit to The Heid Out. The service dog in question is actually for one of our local Canadian military veterans and is trained to recognize any anxiety in his owner. The Wolfhound is by no means inconspicuous, but is one of the best mannered canines we have ever seen and we fully support what the dog brings to the gentleman's quality of life. The veteran does carry a card with the proper credentials for a service dog but simply choses to not to have him wear an attention grabbing vest. We look forward to your return soon!!warm regards,
