Things to do in Campbell River
This is a quiet café at the airport and does not look very fancy. However, the breakfasts and burgers are very good and can easily compete with the other fancy restaurants in Campbell River. If you have some time and need some food, I would highly recommend to go early to the airport supporting this little café!

We stopped into this cafe on the recommendation from our cousin who was driving us around and showing us the sights. Well, what an amazing spot, very quaint, great atmosphere, great tasting coffee and cinnamon buns that were freshly made, and tasted utterly amazing. Will definitely be stopping again.
One of those happy little secrets that you discover by accident. Gourmet Java is in the hands of a bona fide culinary master, and I base this on the experience of a single apple turnover. There are people who can make puff pastry and then there is the rest of the world. It melted in my mouth and I immediately went back to the display cases. Presentation: simple, clean and attractive; variety that was both practical and freshly made, and I noticed our turnovers being replaced and popped into the convection oven in the back. My partner, a Red Seal pastry chef, was also beaming as I returned and sat down. I can't wait to return to sample the full range of his products, but judging from the traffic going through the place and the positive comments from the customers, this isn't such a secret to the locals in Campbell River.
A healthstore/ grocerystore with the Best juice, sandwiches, cakes etc. Eat in ( very small area) or Take out. Everything homemade an so fresh.

The small diner was full but we waited because we immediately liked the ambience. The carrot lentil soup was excellent and so was the choc chip peanut butter cookie. The coffee is from Quadra Island and it was good. I didnât mind whatsoever that service was a little slow. It is a family run place and Nana came out to lend a hand from doing the prep. I look forward to going here often!
Went here for the first time for a lunch. Service and conversation was wonderful. Everyone is made to feel welcome. Food is homemade and very tasty. Even the bread which was huge slices. Very casual atmosphere. Would go again.

It is an interesting menu in that it offered some vegetarian choices. I chose a falafel burger and mushroom soup. The burger itself is very thin and rather bland. The bread was quite dry definitely at least a day old. The soup was delicious. My husband had split pea soup which was loaded with ham and it was very delicious he said. He had a beet and goat cheese sandwich which he said was fabulous. What's interesting is that they offer a second bowl of soup for free. It is a restaurant with no ambiance of any sort and I thought the prices were a little high compared to other restaurants offering the same kind of lunch menu . I was hoping for a regular BLT but it wasn't even on the menu. I may give it a second chance but only after I've tried several of the other restaurants in Campbell River.

We joined relatives for a wonderful breakfast here during our stay in Campbell River. Savvy Locals appreciate the friendly/personalized service, freshly prepared and budget-friendly prices and we can fully understand why. My veggie omelet with chunky hash browns & sour dough toast was very satisfying and my coffee cup remained magically filled throughout the meal. The owners were celebrating their 8 year anniversary during our visit and we were treated to a piece of celebration cake with our breakfast meals. Well done Janet. Enjoy

We have been eating at this great coffee and good food cafe for fourteen years with never a poor plate of food or a less than enthusiastic welcome. Generous sized plates of good food combine with coffee drinks well made. Their soups are stellar. Further you can sit outside in the summer, and watch both the walk-by traffic and the activities on the ocean! Costs are average for generous servings.

I had to visit to check out its number one trip advisor rating. The place was heaving with happy diners. The menu was great and looking at some of other customers dishes very good portions. We had home made Clam Chowder, very good with garlic focaccia. This is an old fashioned diner. Milk shakes seemed very popular.Yes it did live up to its reputation.
