This is a former railroad station, with the tables in the large waiting room. Many props to the owners for saving the station and making this a restaurant. Yes, as mentioned above, the owners need a good conductor to keep this train running on time and making money. Our late January dinner was a case of mass confusion. Our nice server admitted to being frazzled -- she was also working a large birthday party. Our meals were just average. The bar tender seemed to have nothing to do, while the servers were almost running. At the end, they gave our bill to another table and then tried to give us their bill. Eventually they worked this out. Probably will not return.

Drove 30 min's to eat here after hearing great things. Arrive to find sandwiches only with no table service during the antique show. Bogus!! Why would they do that? We left as I am allergic to eggs and that's all they were serving. They should publicize that policy-totally bunk!

This place is off the charts amazing always fresh. You'll need to make a reservation as it's a big hit locally and tough to get into on weekends. If you're not into sushi, they still have an amazing steak and seafood on the menu, even these offerings are better than most of the local choices.

We had breakfast here today and also a sandwich to go on our trip back to Boston. The Sweet and Salty (French toast bagel with homemade maple syrup cinnamon cream cheese, an perfectly done egg and bacon) besides the coffee was more than enough for us to decide that we could easily detour from the Mass Pike on frequent trips to NY. And that was before we had the chicken salad sandwich. This is the kind of place you wish you had in your own neighborhood. Where everybody knows your name...

I have always been a sucker for walk-up ice cream windows. This one is extra special because of the beautiful view.
The ice cream is good. Although, I was disappointed with the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream, which was vanilla ice cream with chunks of peanut butter cups and Reese's pieces), my wife said the Moose Track ice cream was really good. There were a lot of other tasty-looking flavors, so I'm sure I will be more pleased next time.
And there will be a next time. Just imagine what that view looks like at the peak of foliage season! Plus... they have food for sale indoors. I checked out the menu and it looked like they had a variety of options. Burgers (YES!), veggie burger, hot dog, salad, wraps, etc. And I know our 10 month old grandson will enjoy the baby goats!
Plenty of space outside and lots of benches and picnic tables.
This one's a no-brainer!

We stopped in for dinner. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Hubs got a bowl of clam chowder. It was ok. I got clam fritters. Wow! Delicious! We ordered lobster rolls. One regular cold and one deluxe hot. They both came with handmade chips. Chips were yummy. Lobster rolls were just ok. The cole slaw was delicious. Then onto dessert. The ice cream was yummy.

The Pub continues to be our favorite gathering place for this area. The loss of the owners, Terry and Sheila, has not altered the quality of the great food and friendly service. Gathering by the stove for Thursday tacos and Friday fish and chips are two of our favorites. The Irish nachos are always great. Live entertainment is also a big plus.

We've dined at Rovezzi's a number of times and are convinced that you can't go wrong no matter what you order. They serve Italian done right. The pasta is homemade, the sauces are flavorful and the portions are generous. The mollusk appetizers are in a delicious sausage sauce that begs to be mopped up with their great bread. The specials are truly special although the regular offerings are always tasty. If there's an event going on in nearby Brimfield, you'll have a hard time getting in but otherwise there's plenty of seating. Sturbridge has a number of very fine restaurants (we've tried most of them), but if you're considering Italian, this is where you want to be.

A lively American bistro with a menu that encourages sharing, exploration and the celebration of food. American specialties with a unique flair on the standards.
We stopped in here while we were driving back from Boston and the Turnpike had a backup from an accident and it was about 4:15 PM on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and just pulled off in Sturbridge. We tried a few other places but came in here after looking on Yelp. So, we walked in and it was very busy, looked like every table was filled. But they got us into the bar area at a high top and we were there before the happy hour crowd. At the suggestion from Kimberly, our very helpful waitress, I had the fantastic chicken dinner with potatoes and veggies. So, so good and filling and helped me drive back to Syracuse, NY after we left. The bar seating was full and everyone seemed to be loving their drinks and food. As we were seated, more people kept coming into the dining room.

We have dined here during the Brimfield Antique Fair in May 2016.
First, 20 Palmer Road “Francesco Restaurant Inc” and this 45 Palmer road “Francesco's Restaurant” are the same. There is no other Francesco's in the vicinity serving the same Italian foods. And, the red brick columns with the glove lighting on Palmer Road is definitely 45 Palmer Road.
We had Fried Calamari (Small portion, bland batter), Meatballs (good, but bland sauce), Veal Scallopini (oily, with eggplant marinara sauce), Zuppa De Pesce (our choice of Ziti, with White Olive oil, Garlic sauce, bland, huge for even 2 persons/ changed spaghetti to Broccoli on our 2nd visit, still huge)
They have a separate bar with full alcohol menu, too.
(pros)
It is right at the center of the fair site, where we find it the only one visible for the first time visitors.
They have their own parking lot, where you can always find the parking spot, although the restaurant is full. Most of the vendors seem to walk up to this place.
Although their usual opening hours are till 9pm, we were allowed to enter and eat even till later than 10pm. We thanked the staff for accommodating us at the late hours.
Also, although we had to wait, the waiting was less than 15minutes on 1nd night of the fair.
They have a bar if the patron wants to wait inside, but it is quite crowded during the fair.
The food portion was HUGE and they seem to have their own “house recipe” as their sauces taste different from the other typical Italian restaurant (for example, North End Boston)
The price range of main dishes are $15~26 and most of the dinner orders come with either a small salad or a cup of today's soup. The portion is big and some people end up taking the doggy bags. Our seafood pasta could fill the sink bowl and I could not finish even the half.
Our server, Sydney was very attentive, although it was a crazy busy dinner hours, into the late night. I really hope she gets recognized by the owner.
(cons)
It attracts the very casual diners, and, the taste of the dishes are slightly bland and sauces too oily or watery(can be good with less salty) although the food was served quick and somewhat fresher than expected.
No waiting area for the waiting guests. It is just the parking lot spaces right outside the doors.
Some young visitors to the fair can be a little bothersome, arriving drunk and waiting together outside, but the restaurant has no control of them, understandably.
Importantly, the waiting servers are quite crude and dictated our rating. Unlike the first server, Sydney, the owner lady and the others are curt and definitely don't handle the arriving customers professionally.
While we were eating our meal, another server remove the grated cheese from our table without asking.
Later, another waitresses come and remove the empty plates and the table without asking us first, and set the table with new silverware, as if she didn't see we were still sitting there. She wiped the table for the next day, while we were sipping our beer.
Maybe we cannot expect such professional hospitality on the countryside. But, better training will definitely benefit their business.
Sydney from the first visit stands out as a great server. She even remembered us and greeted us from a distance, while others don't show the initial welcoming gesture. So, look for Sydney to have a great experience.

Altogether. It is quite a 3-star experience, but, you will realized that there is no other dinner choice during the fair week, unless you head to Sturbridge or Springfield. Probably write down the restaurant list and their address before your trip starts. There was no GPS signal to get anywhere until we drove away from the fair site.
For us, we had to deal with slight crude manners. But, if you decided to visit this place, you will still enjoy the vibrant atmosphere during the fair weeks, the vendors/diners are pleasant.
I guess it wasn't too bad after all.
