We decided to try Ticos after reading all the reviews. The place was clean and the service was excellent! We came here about 20 minutes before closing time which was probably not a good idea. The cuban sandwiches were just okay. The the other items we had were the same. We were not impressed. Maybe we'll try again but get there earlier!

Stopped in with my wife and daughter to grab a sandwich. Worker was very polite and courteous...answered all our questions and even made suggestions. I got the muffuletta...which was a little different than a traditional muffuletta, but very good. My daughter got the grilled cheese sandwich...I tried it and have to say that it is the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had. They have assorted pastries, desserts, and specialty drinks. Loved it and will frequent again.

Dairy Queen is right at the main intersection in town. There is indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking and drive-thru. It is a pretty good Dairy Queen.

We stopped here for breakfast on Black Friday when we were visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. This is a small local restaurant and it was packed with locals. I had the breakfast plate with 2 eggs scrambled, grits, bacon and toast. My husband had the pancakes and sausage. He loved his meal. He said his sausage was as good as Blue and Gold which is the best sausage we've ever eaten. The sausage is most likely house made as Mr. Judice, the one whose name is on the café, is a butcher and runs a meat market. The food was decent and my only complaint wasn't really a complaint. I didn't care for the flavor of the bacon. It didn't have the smoked flavor I am used to which is Oscar Mayer or FarmFresh bacon. I only ate a single bite. My eggs were tasty and had a wonderful fresh egg taste and they were cooked through so there weren't any slimy white bits in it. The grits were fantastic but I also really love grits. They were so thick that I could stand the spoon straight up in them and it stayed. Now that is how you do some grits! Our waitress was really good and she was busy but still had a smile for us and some friendly conversation. This is authentic Cajun food, and they were making pork cracklin's which is what I always called pork rinds. We didn't try any though. They had beignets on the menu but we didn't try those either. I can't say how the meals are for lunch or dinner, but we all enjoyed our meal and it was standard breakfast fare comparable to a Denny's. The décor in here is nice and it was super clean and looked to be new inside with the red sparkling counter/bar area and all the photos of Mr. Judice and then bayou décor on the walls. The paper towel holders were wooden alligators and crawdads. All the tables had Lousisiana hot sauce on the tables and Tabasco, but no Cholula. I did ask though and the waitress had a single bottle that a regular customer has stashed there and she shared it with me. So if you prefer a different hot sauce than those offered, you better take your own. I just got lucky that visit. We had a good meal, good service, and left satisfied.

We specialize in fresh homemade hamburgers....never frozen.
My family has eaten at the Bridge City location a few times. I don't get too excited when it has been the chosen destination (it is very close). The wait is generally long, especially during lunch. Granted, the food is cooked to order. That being said, I don't believe the burgers from this location are that great. They're OK. If you do a take out order, MAKE SURE TO CHECK IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I hate arriving home and something is missing or the order is incorrect.

We thoroughly enjoyed the spinach dip and the pepperoni pizza. Excellent service. We'll go back when they get the beer and, hopefully, a wine license. Also, when we were there, the parking lot wasn't finished, so I'm sure the parking situation is much better now. This town needs another nice sit down restaurant, so i hope that they make it.

The staff here is very friendly. The meal however is just average...not bad but nothing special. There is a city ordinance that requires you to purchase a "membership card" to consume alcohol in restaurants...so be prepared to purchase this card.

Tried this restaurant 3-14-13 for the first time. What great food. This is a small, family run place, but a must go to place. Staff very helpful & friendly. I can't have wheat so they gave me corn tortillas with my lunch. I had the tacos al carbon & I highly recommend it. Had enough left over for lunch the next day. Salsa was very good too. They also have a small buffet. A meal for one is less than $15. Two of us ate for $22.50, which included soft drinks & tax.
