Nur gut das wir warm angezogen waren es war ziemlich kühl, trotz Kaminfeuer.Weinschorle sehr verwässert, alle Essen sehr salzig und kalt. Service in Ordnung aber bei Beanstandungen ohne Reaktion.

Das RED FOX (Bar & Bistro-Betrieb) ist unbedingt ein Besuch wert. Rustikale Einrichtung, groÃformatige Fernsehschirme für z.B. FuÃballübertragungen und ausgesprochen freundliche Bedienungen empfangen den Gast. Die Auswahl an Getränken ist deutlich gröÃer als die der kleinen Speisekarte. Aber es lohnt sich das leckere, frisch zubereitete Essen mit den groÃen Portionen zu kosten.Die Küche ist von 18:00 bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet.Aktuell ist der Spargel (14,50â¬) zu empfehlen. Sonst gibt es Salate, Fisch, Schnitzel, Strammer Max und weitere Gerichte zu günstigen Preisen.Auch die Getränkepreise sind o.K. Pils (0,3l) für 2,20⬠, Klare Schnäpse 2,00â¬.Im Red Fox treffen sich Gäste meist mittleren Alters, oft kleiner Gruppen an der Bar, an Hochtischen, Sitznischen oder bei guten Wetter auch auf dem breiten Bürgersteig vor der Tür.

Dirt cheap, nice fries, okay burger (I only tried the veggie ones). Friendly, too, and really nice little sit down place for a quick tasty and unhealthy bite. Also you will stink of chip fat when you leave but oh so worth it. I go quite regularly because I won't like the chip fat stink in my kitchen so if I fancy a load of grease, this is the place.

We went for a very, very, very special anniversary and booked a table for dinner and dressed up a bit. Unfortunately, it had rained very heavy, which made the walk to the restaurant wading through a swamp, and also made us less disappointed about being seated in the station buffet style main dining room instead of the nice bay window room overlooking the lake, which we asked for but were declined repeatedly. So, not much romantic mood here. The food, um, was so memorable that i forgot what I had. I think it must have been something with chanterelles. I think my boyfriend had something fishy. Both were cooked okay, but unexciting, and I think the potato croquettes or chips or whatever came with it came form a packet. We also felt way overdressed here, despite this being a moderately to expensively priced restaurant, and were a bit disappointed with the unexpected surf 'n turf and meat-heavy menu. Won't go there again.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel overlooking the river. In summer I expect you can sit on the terrace. Excellent choice on the menu, imaginative presentation and very tasty with good service. Would definitely recommend if in the area or staying in the hotel - this must be the best food in Furstenwalde.
