Great session in the upstairs bar on a Tuesday evening. Cheap drinks, great jazz, great atmosphere. Feels like something out of the 1920s. Strongly recommend.

My girlfriend and myself were left disappointed after visiting. The waiter was very abrupt to the point he was almost rude. Cocktails arenât great and the service is slow. I also feel the drinks are over priced for the type of venue. On the plus side, good views of Berlin and an extensive drinks menu. Overall an anti-climax to our trip. Wouldnât recommend going out of your way to visit.Dear Paul B,we are sorry to read that our bar did not meet your expectations. We use mainly fresh ingredients for our cocktails such as fruit and herbs and the syrups used in the cocktails are home made by our bar team. We use high quality products only and the prices of the drinks reflect that. We also picked up your comment on our service and will review this topic with the entire service team. Hops & Barley Hausbrauerei is an absolutely fantastic brewpub both my twin brother Stephen and I always look forward to visiting on any holiday we take to this most eclectic of cities. This brewpub looks superb, a multi roomed brewpub,a cool looking serving bar, great decor and furnishings including brew vats prominently on display and plenty of seating options spread throughout this brewpub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Wuehlischplatz.We were here on a Saturday evening, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff, after a quick study of the beers on offer my brother opted to have Friedrichshainer weizen while I went for Friedrichshainer pilsner,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just chilled out and took in the great brewpub we were in.My pilsner was outstanding, a hoppy,well balanced beer bursting with taste,very easy to drink,a beer style I really enjoyed, my twin brother Stephen also gave me the thumbs up to his beer, while enjoying our beers we already had our next drink picked out ,we both decided to have a cider each ,these were served in absolutely fantastic condition, a wonderful effervescent cider ,so tasty,so refreshing, on a hot evening it was the perfect drink .We really enjoyed our beer and cider in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Hops & Barley Hausbrauerei is easy to locate on Wuehlischplatz in an area teeming with pubs,bars and restaurants. Opening hours are;Monday to Friday, 5pm till Midnight. Saturday & Sunday, 3pm till Midnight. A great brewpub,if your in the Friedrichshain area most definitely well worth checking out.

Cozy place with a bar and a few tables. The staff welcomed me to take the last seat at the bar, and thankful today they did as everything was outstanding. The Bavarian tapas were delicious, particularly the spinach dumplings, and the beer and wine were outstanding. Highly recommend and if you're more than 1 or 2, you must book as it is very busy. Wonderful experience.

We waited a very long time for our food - over 40 mins. Sadly, it wasnât really worth the wait.My friends got cheeseburgers and I got the classic burger. The burgers were OK - but not great. The burger patty wasnât seasoned well and was a bit overcooked and thus dry. The bin was slightly under toasted so it fell apart. Salad was tasteless.The cheesy chips werenât anything to write home about either. We liked the decor and atmosphere of the place. Maybe better for drinks and a snack if hungry but donât come especially for a delicious burger.
