Tonight we decided to have some local food . We decided on the Braun & Bistro , as they had a few empty tables and the ambiance looked great in the sun . We had the Munchner WeiBwurste . Great Veal sausage with a soft pretzel , and we had a side of sauerkraut . All was good and we washed it down with some German beer which did it justice . The wafer/ chocolate dessert was not very good . The server was great and did well on her English , and even found us a couple of English menus .Overall , a good find .
Gemütlicher Landbauernhof. Pferde, scharfe, Ziegen, Schweine. Dementsprechend ländliche Atmosphäre. Essen dementsprechend angepasst. sicher keine Haut Cousine. Aber gute ländliche Küche. Preis Leistung stimmtEmpfehlenswertes nahausflugziel.

Lauterbach is not only known for first-class pastry products, coffee specialities and Original Cottbuser Baumkuchen (pyramid cake). Lauterbach is also known for culinary delights and feast for the eyes. Starting with the biggest breakfast menu in Cottbus,
We spent a few days in Cottbus and this was my favorite restaurant. Both evenings that we ate here were excellent. The quality and quantity of the dishes and the extensive menu got my vote. The atmosphere warm and cozy especially in the little back bit. We managed to get a table without a booking it was busy but we were lucky. I would certainly recommend booking for a Friday or Saturday night. Super service with excellent food... Thank you

A very nice place, that did not change too much over the last 20 years ... normal German good quality food in a small cellar, the waiter dressed as a monk, the owner lady in the kitchen ... very nice atmosphere and extremely friendly .. highly recommended

Kartoffelkiste is in the old part of Cottbus, on the shopping street leading to the Altmarkt. Food is simple, basic and well-cooked, just what you need after a long drive. Just as important: they have a good collection of beers and you can eat and drink quite late.

A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, extremely helpful and and accommodating staff. A brilliant place to eat and drink or relax with family and friends and it's biker friendly too. Well worth a visit to experience good German hospitality.

I've been in this place several times and tried many curses. Schnitzels are super and the people are very friendly. I only regret there are not so many beers you can choose but the available ones are good. Prices are honest and the quality is very high. Ones it was my Bday and they let my frienda keep an icecream cake in their fridge, very kind of them.Recommended!
