The schloss is fantastic, in front of a lake, with beautiful architecture and nicely renovated. Inside works of art and grandious atmosphere. But the rooms are needlessly bare and austere, the bathroom seems that of an hospital, decorations scarce and bad lighting. A bit more style might have done justice of the prestigious outside. Also the during time we were here there was a really terrible smell from the fields around. The restaurant serves fine food but that also could be improved.

Hotel Schloss Hohenbocka is set in a restored castle and grounds. The hotel offers a large garden and wellness facilities and is situated in Hohenbocka. Each of the rooms at the hotel is decorated in modern style and comes equipped with a private bathroom with a hairdryer. The on-site restaurant serves a range of regional and international specialities. Popular activities in the surrounding area include hiking and cycling, and bicycles can be rented from Hotel Schloss Hohenbocka.
This hotel is not as advertised - its cold and unwelcoming. It's over priced and the food terrible! Breakfast was a small collection of dishes that contained tinned fruit, tinned mushrooms, tinned vegetables, these were accompanied by some very old cheese! When we dinned in the evening, sadly my evening meal was send back as it was over cooked and burnt! The quality was extremely poor therefore we did not eat there again! Having paid 180 euro's per night, I was shocked to find that there were no toilette's in the bathroom and had to buy our own! The grounds are over grown and the location is remote! We stayed in the main Hotel and were extremely disappointed. As this was my husbands birthday trip, I had looked for what I thought was a luxury hotel - sadly this wasn't the case. Another alarming fixture was that in the bathroom there are no curtains, so anyone can see in, especially when its dark and you have the light on. So we had to leave the light off so we could try and gain some privacy.

This doesn't seem like a hotel as there's no restaurant nor bar. There's a good Italian restaurant just round the corner and a selection of the usual places in the town. We had a mini suite with lots of space and a kitchenette (not well equipped) and wifi worked well in the room (we had asked for that at booking). The grounds needed lots of care and attention and gave the whole place a sense of being rundown, or at least that it's struggling. A shame because the setting by the river Havel is superb. Note that reception isn't often manned so you must ring a mobile for service.

Schloss & Gut Liebenberg is as well a first-class hotel in Brandenburg, as part of a dedicated integration operation, the DKB Stiftung Liebenberg gGmbH. A meeting place for people interested in culture as well as a hotbed of social and environmental responsibility .
My family and I wanted to have a nice dinner in a nice environment. The Schloss is very well kept and is in a perfect location. I was looking forward to some great German dishes and expected a dining room with "castle atmosphere". However the dining room resembled more a First Class railway dining room with excessive bright light: no atmosphere at all. The food was good and the service friendly but my German host said he would never go back there again.
