This place is retail therapy pure and simple. I loved just walking through. Clothing, shoes, household and kitchen items and so many gift ideas. My husband got coffee and happily read the paper out on the front enclosed porch area, giving me a half hour to look around. I left with shoes, socks with a message and a beautiful black sweater that I can't wait to wear. I'll be back!

Restaurant at Madden's Resort
I think this is the best dinner option in the Brainerd area. Excellent chef, nice wine list, excellent cocktails, nice view out to a garden area that leads to their well manicured golf course. there's a nice patio area too. we had 7 people for dinner including 2 kids, and there was something for everyone. wait staff is very friendly without being intrusive. all the food was well done, with many compliments from our out of state visitors, who can be very picky. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice meal. You do not have to be staying at Maddens, or golfing to eat here.

These guys make a great latte and their flavored latte's are tasty. They have just about anything you want in a latte. Check them out, skip the big box coffee joints and go local, you won't be disappointed. I only wish they were still making their t-shirts!!

High quality tasty treats! Wonderful lady making chocolate everyday! Visit this shop for a enjoyable treat! We visited while she was making fresh truffles and they were still "wet" when we had them. She makes her own marshmallows!

Ernie's on Gull is a year around family restaurant located on the shores of beautiful Gull Lake. Summers our lakeside deck and patio bar and open everyday with the best views of any restaurant in the area. Summer weekends bring nightly entertainment on the patio. Enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun go down to the sounds of local and regional acts. Executive Chef Jason Hawley and his culinary team have assembled a menu that caters to the tastes and trends of today while also embracing the items that have been staples here for many years. Our diverse menu offers a wide range of options to choose from and is constantly being updated as we move from season to season.
We went here for a late dinner after a day of golf. I would have liked to have gone on the weekend and been outside when they had entertainment but it didn't work out. Waitress didn't see us come in so it took awhile. My wife had fish tacos and I had a patty melt. Food was very good but I don't think we got the whole feel of Ernies due to the time/day that we were here.

The pizza was fresh and hot out of the wood fired oven
The flavor was OK but based upon the online reviews I expected better
The atmosphere was not up to my expectsations and it could have been cleaner
Overall I would give it 3.5 stars

It's Caribou. Nice staff, fairly efficient as well. Cooked food is horrible. I don't go there for food though. Good drinks. So what's up with the huge table in the middle? Is this what millennials want, a community table? Makes it tough to meet for coffee and business. Get rid of it.

Chose this restaurant as an adventure. Went at 3 in the afternoon, so very few people in the restaurant. Waitress was very friendly and punctual. The two dishes we ordered were excellent and served nice and hot. The portions were great, both were able to take home an amble portion for lunch the next day. Some confusion at the end with waiting to get our bill. Seems our waitresses shift was over and another took over. Could have been some communication - would have been helpful. The young man that did attend to us was very polite and took care of us nicely.

The Barn has been popping up on my restaurant list for years. Today my husband and I arrived just in tim for the lunch rush. I ordered the loose meat sandwich with pickles, mustard, onions and a cheese slice on top. This is their specialty. It is insteresting, browned crumbled ground beef with raw onions and mustard mixed in with the meat
Pickles and cheese slice on top. Messy with okay flavors, that loose meat goes all over the table as you try to eat every bite. Many other cafe items looked good, I will give one of them my next visit.
Now let's talk about the pie selection, homemade, delicious, sour cherry pie like my grandmother made, lemon meringue with meringue three inches high, just the right tart to the lemon. Too many flavors to list, I can tell many return trips will be required.

Stoped in with extended family when in town for Christmas. I ordered the ghost burger, since I like spicy. Ghost pepper cheese, jalapeños and avocado. I was told that “it would make me sweat”. Here I sit, 100% dry but it did have a pleasant taste!
